Why are some schools like Temasek Primary listed with 160 vacancies? Even with the 40 reserved for phase 2B and 2C, it only adds up to 200 which is not divisible by 30 but by 25 only. Did that mean class sizes will go down?

We live in Sengkang, just near Sengkang MRT. Seeking admission for our first son. We must go for phase 2C as PR.
May I seek guidance from the experts on the forum:
1. What are the good schools nearby where we may stand fair chance to getting placed?
2. Since we stay on rent, and are ready to relocate, should we apply to a good school even if those are not nearby (which ones?) Or if we do so, we mostly stand rejected?

If you are considering placing your child in an all-boys school (with secondary affiliation) then the following schools should be safe for you as a PR in 2C.
1. Montfort Junior
2. St Stephen's School
3. St Gabriel's Primary -

i think you are right - only KSP is interested in all the raw data !!
and has a considerable amount, sufficient to produce a 10 years series.
just that we still want to have screen shot of the raw data just in case we entered wrongly or have a source to refer to later on.

Data from singstat - which I downloaded last year.
This year’s registration, on the whole, should be less fierce.
That said, NYPS la. CHS la. SNGS la and all traditionally popular schools, the competition should be similar everyyear.
