But from Queenstown area to De lasalle is really far. I used to travel in opposite direction for half a year to send my girl to Alexandra and the travelling time is really no joke. Kid also had to wake up very early before 6am. So do consider carefully for the distance and time taken for travelling.
I drove 5 years - another place to another school 12km one way.
Hard life for parents 😂 , you can ask some parents of Nan Hua now, temporary location, one short street already 20 min.

Sometimes is because we have no choice but to go to a further school, if your school downstairs (or around you) is a popular one (which you have no relations or alumni) and need to ballot, you would not want to take the risk if you totally has no backup school in 2CS. Guess most of our mindset, try to go for earlier phase that you are eligible, secure it then decide if u want to risk balloting for a nearer school (which is popular) nearer you.

this year registration rate seems lower. I am wondering what are the chance of enrolling in SCGS (1-2km) as I am currently staying within 1km from RGPS. Of course SCGS is preferred due to the affliation.

May I ask also if we are not able to get in to the preferred school in P2C, do we automatically get allocated to other primary sch in P2CS?

Depending on ur risk appetite, only register on the last 2A2 afternoon so that you can assess if you can even get to ballot for Rosyth >2km and consider to switch to St Gab if you don't want or no chance to ballot at Rosyth.

Again, depending on ur risk appetite, can always try for ncps at 2c but have a safe backup for 2cs.

            All the best!

Oh man !!! This is driving most parents nuts.

Worst worst omg scenario if all else fail is Compassvale Primary (2C). Not my choice cos too many PRs .. no issues not biased but my own preference la 😬

If u plan to withdrawing and re-registering, best to go to the school B that you plan to re-register, to personally ask (nicely) with the Admin.

What happened to me last year was the Admin discouraged me at 3pm (last day) from withdrawing from my school A. Because at that point already has SC > 2km need to ballot. She said no point for me to take the risk. Really a heart attack moment not for the faint hearted.

Take note also if your area has a lot of new BTOs flats. As this would be a game-changer.

With all due respect, you had an easier path which you chose not to take.
If you have signed up for the alumni membership, you will be eligible for Phase 2A1 and none of these headaches :siam:

If u apply at 2C (any school) but do not get in, then u have to apply at 2CS (it’s not automatic). If still do not get your 2CS school, then MOE will allocate you another nearby school before Phase 3 starts for the foreigners.

I do not know anything about chances for SCGS.

Yes. Those are the minimum docs for 2C.

If 2B or more complicated case then u need all the whatever supporting docs as stated on MOE’s faq.

Bring your originals but spend some few cents to make photocopies beforehand to save time hor. Don’t say never give good tip.

No point being stingy on these few cents and (i) waste your precious time for the admin to zap for you, clock ticking away (ii) some schools even charge dollars per page to zap.
