2C is like swimming in ocean. There are plentyful of those newly foreigner that became new citizens, bought apartments within 1km of the schools. Met quite a number and their reasons of wanting their kids to enter is simply becos - 因為這是一間明校!! Damn it…

But hey, ACS wannabe parents understand lah, these new citizens are about 'securing our future together'. It's a little sacrifice for being 'with you, for you, for Singapore'.

One parent in my kindergarten WhatsApp group even had the cheek to post this SOS: we received the letter from ICA that our son’s citizenship was approved. But the MP is not available to award the citizenship certificate until few months after P1 registration. How ah?


Anyway, maybe those new citizens will raise the CL and HCL standards in ACS over time.
