Hi gurus,

St Gab is 27 out of 71 vacancies now. Can anyone advise me if likely will have 2CS vacancies for 1-2km? That will influence my decision on whether to ballot for more popular schools in 2C. Thanks

Just think if everyone in a similar dilemma is thinking like you, will St Gab be safe for 2CS? There are a lot of schools being used as 2CS backup until everyone flocks to it at 2CS. Then.... you are really XXXXX twice. So is the school that u wish to ballot for really worth this risk?

If Cat High or Rosyth, can worth this risk?

Sorry but very basic question - are we allowed to choose which school we apply to under phase 2CS ? Or is it automatically allocated based on whatever schools have vacancies remaining ? I.e. applicants cannot choose where they apply to under phase 2CS ? Thanks and apologies in advance if this has been asked before

From my understandings, you can still choose at 2CS.

\"If your child is unsuccessful in any phase of the registration exercise, you can register your child again in the next phase that you are eligible for.
If your child is unsuccessful in Phase 2C Supplementary, they will be posted to a school with available vacancy. You will be informed of the outcome on the results announcement day through SMS.\"

Both are balloting <1km, how to be both you can qualify? Anyways both are too risky.

roughly around 150++ still on the fence for this area. People in Rosyth abit flat now. Some thinking of Yangzheng.
People in this area has the most increase in numbers (in terms of percentage) on last day (last year)

I do believe in the fairness of the system to give opportunities to bright students from the least popular schools but that’s me.

hi… anyone has 2018 2C balloting statistic? im aiming for either tamp pri or east spring for SC>2km. both schools now is approx 50% applicant.

Have got a place under 2B in Yangzhen, but eyeing PLMGS as new house (already did hdb completion today) is within 1km, SC, which traditionally didn’t need balloting every year.

But called up school today after 430pm, they informed that this year is very unusual, about 62 SC 1km< have already registered out of 85 vacancies! Dragon year 2018 only saw 66 SC 1km<. Abit stressed now.

Back up plans are to:
1. Stay in Yangzhen
2. Withdraw and register 2C at PLMGS (but at what odd is sensible???) and if fail to,
3a. register CHIJ OLGC during 2CS (1km from current IC address)
3b. Register back in YZPS during 2CS but seems like would not have vacancies by then.

Any kind advice please?

Any guru has breakdown on the RGPS applicants? I was told there is no breakdown for this year’s application. Not sure how true it is. Will be very difficult to judge without the breakdown.
