any idea what is the 'normal' number of questions examiners will asked?
my gal told me her examiners asked her 4 questions. her classmate, after finish her oral, walk out crying, as her classmate was asked 13 questions by the examiners.

In short, I call them \"CEO\" - content, experience, opinion. The way they phrase the questions may not be direct but ultimately, these are the aspects that they are testing the students on.

For example, Content related questions can be:
请说出录像中一件_____的事。
你喜欢录像中的____吗?为什么?
如果你是录像中的____你会有什么反应/感受?为什么？
Student is bound to refer back to the video content and mention the happenings/content as evidence/support for their own answers.

Subsequently, Personal Experience and Opinion type questions are related to the theme but no longer draw (much, if any) direct references to the video content.

Some kids elaborate their point logically and in their answer, they covered what the teacher would've wanted to ask for the other questions (esp. 转向问题) thus some get fewer questions.

If the student (mentioned by dylanmummy2003) got asked that many questions, it's most probably all her answers lacked elaboration or clarity. By asking more questions, the invigilators are actually 'helping' her and giving her a chance to score - because, if she manage to respond to those questions, they can still award her marks for the language and grammar component (15 marks) while helping with the content part (another 15 marks) a little (albeit very minor).

my gal say for her mother tongue oral, the video shows a teacher teaching, and asked questions, and students were fighting to answer. then the teacher write words 'Be Kind' on the whiteboard, and ask students to volunteers to play the different roles to the classmates to explain to the class what is Be Kind
qn asked :
1) if you were the students, will you like the lessons the teacher was conducting
2) in real life, do you have such type of lessons
3) what other interesting learn method you have encountered
4) how do you feel about the method you have just mentioned in point 3.

I think our children have same questions after watching same video.

but isnt 13 questions abit too much for the kid? my gal says her classmate took the longest time among all, and has the most questions ask. maybe she was overwhelmed with the amount of questions, thus she broke down when she leave the room.

I would guess that it's either her answers are all very short and lack depth/content or she was going out of point (maybe misunderstanding the questions)

hope her classmate will put it past her and concentrate on tmr's english oral.
now i worry if my gal provided her 'answer' correctly. when she was ask what other interesting method she has encountered. she say e-learning. cos sometimes in school, the teachers are too busy to attend to their questions, but via e-learning/online, the teachers do replies to their queries.
like :offtopic: liao.... she also says she like when the teachers bring them outdoor to conduct lessons, especially visiting garden, as she can learn more about different plants/flowers.
