You can find an interesting infographic on ADHD, types, and symptoms in this https://www.pennysaviour.com/article/parenting-tips-for-raising-a-child-with-adhd. I hope it is helpful; the infographic has all that you need, arranged in a simple way to make it easier to read. Plus, the post goes on to talk about parenting tips you can use if your child has ADHD.

Would like to share an interesting experience that I had about a month back. I did a series of miniature painting workshops for about 15 kids, many of whom have ADHD and/or ASD. Was able to get all of them to focus for at least 40 minutes. Just did a write-up on it, which you can check out here: https://swordsandstationery.com/stationery/adhd-asd-focus-sit-still/
Still amazes me when I look back at how the workshops went

hi there! My 8 year old boy has a high IQ but struggles to concentrate on class. Since he was 3 Teachers have discussed his issues with me, and when he was 5 school asked us to have him assessed by a psychiatrist. He is diagnosed as having ADHD inattentive & hyperactive. School is really worried that he is bright, and has potential, but is falling behind cos he can’t concentrate and so doesn’t ever get much work done.
I am thinking of putting him on proper adhd medication (he’s been on PS & omega 3 and zinc for ages but it’s not helping sadly).
Please can anyone share the cost of concerta / ritilin? Can you get cheaper generic versions here? Can I get it from a gp or do I need to see a specialist? Any advice welcome! X -
So interesting. Are you doing any more workshops for ADHD kids? Have looked on your site but couldn’t see anything.

I have heard various feedback that Vayarin is quite effective for improving focus. Am not sure how it compares with the cost of Ritalin but I know the parents using it like that it is not a medicine.

Do you know any help centers that would help parents like me to deal with an ADHD case. My twins were diagnosed with ADHD. I feel like I am about to give up because of stress from work and with their case. How do you deal with these problems with your child?

Hi Sammybammy and Alex75,
Most people have a misconception about ADHD being a behavioural issue when it actually is more of a brain-processing issue.
As one with ADHD myself, and having helped students off Ritalin yet not lose focus, I’d like to assure you that ADHD is easily manageable and as like Autism, needs are on a spectrum, what works for one kid need not work for another.
PM me if you’d like any more information on helps. I will definitely stay clear of meds unless the kid is violently harming himself or others. Meds have side effects & studies on their long term effects have more negative than positive effect. -
Good morning. I would like to have my 9 year old assessed to see whether he has ADHD. Does anyone have a good, impartial private medical professional to recommend?
My child is not impulsive but he is extremely hyperactive. Has not mellowed much over the years, still very high energy and talks incessantly. Behaviorally, in school and at home, he is unable to sit still and focus on his written work or even eat a meal without being distracted by some toy or book or conversation topic that he’s thinking about. So the brain drifts off at a tangent quite frequently.
He did not clear the recent GEP Round 1, which is why I want to find out what’s wrong with his brain (leading to this behavior all these years, which is supposed to mature & focus more by this age, but no…).
Recommendations please. I am desperate to have an answer. -
