I hope for my dd to get 260 for PSLE this year, but I'm not sure about the most accurate way to calculate the psle score. Can someone plz help me calculate it?

      English: 88
      Math: 94
      Science: 92
      Mt: 79

      Thanks!
      Total (4 subjects) = 353

you scored two A * (your child is strong in Maths and Science), plus two A for languages (English and Mother Tongue)

English : high A (very close, to grasping a star in your palm. Only 3 points away, very close, it is within reach)

      Mother Tongue : 79
(need to improve. Check which component, pulling down your child. Work harder at weak components)

your T-score, can range from approximately ... 254 to 264.75, depending on which multiplier effect (0.72 to 0.75)
it is better to stay conservative

      if 353 x 0.72 (most conservative) = 254.16

      if 353 x 0.73 =257.69

      if 353 x 0.74 =261.22

      if 353 x 0.75 (more optimistic) = 264.75[/quote]
Thanks for the help! Sigh... I really do not know how else I can pull up my dd's scores...

Look at the paper 2 and see what the areas you can work on.
Example, do more synthesis practise if you lose more marks in this section than the rest.
Also look at LC, Compo and SW scores and see if can stretch.

We have quite a lot of work from school and tuition to be completed :frustrated: think half the week gone.. Hopefully after school reopens, left 1.5 weeks, Teachers don’t pile on much more work.

Oh! I have a question everyone. Will a student get accepted in a sch with a cut-off of 200 and my child gets 260+?

I’m just curious as I was asked the same question but I do not know the answer

For DSA students, yes, they can enter at minimum 200.

But if u enter by Tscore, then must meet the Cut off point for that school

If a school has a cut off point of 200, sure of course, a student with T score 200 can enter. Your child with T score 260+ can also enter if you wish.

Don’t confuse COP with T score. And don’t confuse DSA with S1 posting.

My sch also given loads of papers to do. Whole stack and asked the kids to time themselves when doing the papers. Gonna be a busy week ahead...
