hi! just saw this question haHA
for Theatre drama domain @ SOTA, how many CO / Wait-list, were offered last year (2018) batch ?
i'm not sure about the numbers but from what i know through my classmates only a handful of us were on waitlist, but as told to us by the head of faculty there is a high chance you will get in anyway even if you are on waitlist!
hope this helps!

Hi im from sota and i have 4 tuitions so yes, many of my classmates have them too and it is not unheard of. I have siblings who are in the singaporean education system and we take the exact same subjects. I am able to do their exam papers as the standard is about the same. Sota is just a normal school with an added subject which is our art form. We don't do less than other schools academically. Due to our art forms, we usually end school daily around 7 to 9pm, depending on the day. Thus, we don't miss out or have a lower standard academically. (If there was, why did sota produce 2 president scholars so far??) The syllabus is the exact same from year 1 to 3 but is more IB based from year 4 to year 6. So yes many people on this forum say that sota is an arts school and the academics is easier but no, i have siblings to compare to and I can say that the standard is the exact same as \"top tier O level schools\". (my siblings are from these schools).
tuition?? tuition is unheard of in SOTA leh.Oldgal:
Sota students and parents - appreciate your feedback on the iB program. I know the A levels can be very intensive towards year 5 to 6 and many attend tuition for their subjects. How about the IB? Does it mean that since the exams hold only 60 to 70% of the final score, it is not as detailed and intensive compared to A levels? Do most students go for tuition? How about SOTA - do the Teachers follow up closely on students and offer help or hold extra classes for the weaker ones? Thanks.

Inside SOTA, which is the smallest domain intake ?
biggest domain in SOTA is visual arts, about 70-80 of the 200 per intake. not sure about dance, but probably 30-40 at most?FantasyLandDreams\" post_id=\"1933044\" time=\"1567345671\" user_id=\"105816:
Coincidentally, both president scholars from SOTA were from dance. Just curious, is dance the biggest faculty in SOTA And has the most number of students? How about facilities and teaching resources wise, as compared to other art forms?
Is it Theatre drama filming study or creative writing authorship domain or music composer ? -
Dance, Literary Arts, Theatre and Music average have 30ish students.
Music has two tracks performance and creating. 3/4 of the music students are doing performance. -

My DS has received CO from SOTA and a WL from his dream boys’ school and although SOTA seems to be the best choice to pursue his passion in art, he is still not sure which school to decide… One of the setbacks he has been saying is that there are too few boys in SOTA. He goes to boys primary school and his elder brother went to all boys secondary schools so he cannot really imagine what it’s like to be surrounded by so many girls I guess… lol .
I am wondering if any parent here with a boy in SOTA has any advice or insights to share in terms of his school life, pros and cons of being the minority gender in the school…
