Come to think of it, since we are on Comprehension topic, is there a difference between Listening Comprehension vs. Written Comprehension component, this coming Tuesday (26 Sep) ?

I mean, of course, LC test u on the listening skill, whether u are paying attention, or not ?

But, whether is listening or reading a passage silently to yourself, ultimately it is still \"Comprehension\" after all, isn't it ?
They test (and reward) different skills. Some people naturally learn better through auditory methods. These people prefer listening to audio books & absorb well.

The textual readers learn and understand better through reading books & long texts.

Eg maybe dyslexics may find LC easier to understand than having to decipher long texts for written compre.

            5 more.

My DD was upset as she chose 2 for the first question in CL listening test. She appeared being strong only. Poor kid.

Sometimes, they just hide their fear and anxiety. We must be sensitive to their emotions.

Last Friday, while sending my DS to school , he took out his pencil case twice to check. I can feel his worries. Told him just try your best , just a LC .

dd these 2 days will put on action show me that she is so tired that her soul is flowing out from her mouth..I got to tell younger one to sleep on her own while I stay up to ensure dd go to bed before midnight.. now that they are growing to a stage of neither here nor there..they want do things their own way that may not be the most effective and efficient way.. and I feel that I can't put on any more pressure on her..whatever comes just come la.. and today I almost thrown away her hw that was hidden in between the stack of papers..already put near the chute then took it back thinking of recording the marks..flipped and saw her teacher's markings on it..really heng.

Students are posted to secondary schools based on merit. A student with a better aggregate score will be considered for admission first, subject to the availability of vacancies in the selected school. If there are no more vacancies, then the student will be considered for their next choice school(s).

In situations where there are two or more students with the same aggregate score vying for the last place in a school, they will be posted based on their citizenship status (i.e. Singapore Citizens, then Singapore Permanent Residents, then International Students). If there is still a tie, e.g. between two Singapore Citizens with the same aggregate score, then posting into the school will be determined by a computerised ballot where each student is given an equal opportunity.

If your child fails to get a place in any of their choice of schools, they will be posted to a school near their home which still has vacancies. As such, if you have changed your official residential address in your NRIC, you are advised to update the primary school of your new address by the end of PSLE.
