These are the pictures

A CELEBRATION
1) people dancing on stage
2) 2 person holding a baby
3) invitation

My gal wrote abt 2. Arrival of her new sibling. Is it allright ah??

Anyone know which is correct, to hold or to carry a baby? Will it lead to loss of marks for using the wrong vocabulary?

The watery mess is ambiguous n vague. But my DS put 231 too. But the paint smudged w water is also a mess...

What about the Dragon Kiln flyer-visual text? My DS said was tricky too and what's the main aim of flyer?

- to provide info about the fire event
- to preserve the heritage of the dragon Kiln..

This q also many differing views.

Shld be to provide info about the event as at the last part it was stated

Thank you!

Mine wrote move up

Think the answer is \"move on\" to...

Yes, answer should be \"move on\" to something new, to a new chapter (journey) in their life, ie. Sec 1, because their primary school journey had already ended.

You do not \"move up\" to a next, new journey in your life. But, you \"move on\" forward to the next stage of your life's journey

Just like us, right now. English over today, dusted, can throw away our mountain high piled up stack of English school worksheets ! So, what should we do ?

Let's \"move on\" to tackle Maths next, and not \"move up\" to tackle Maths.

In fact, this English qn set was very tricky. SEAB think because we students all from P6 move up to Sec 1 next year, one level up, so they used the word \"up\", try to trick us, make us fall for it
Answer: move up

If your children read this news article, he/she will know the answer.

A student taking G2 English at Sec 1, for instance, will be able to move up to G3 as he or she gets better in the subject - a point stressed by MOE when it highlighted that how a student fares at the PSLE will not constrain the choice of subjects and their levels of difficulty.

Quoted: End of Normal, Express streaming: How PSLE score will decide subject levels in Sec 1 from 2024
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/education/how-psle-score-will-decide-subject-levels-in-sec-1-from-2024

This PSLE English exam seemed to be testing Sec 1 English phrasal verbs! Go Popular check out Sec 1 English assessment books and you know what I mean. Children need to have a very strong command of English to ace 2019 English. Good luck.

throw away without \"eating\" ok?

Thats the most unique answer ive heard! Sounds okay, but idk.

Illogical. Throw away already means it's uneaten.
how about throw away food without (a few choices) -

- regard,

- concern,

- consumption ?

besides without \"hesitation\" ?

I feel the answer is throw away food without guilt.

If your children read National Geographic, it helps a lot indeed!

Grandma could not *figure* *out* how to open the palm-sized, black device.

The phrase, \"could not\", cannot go with past tense. So, cannot be \"unravelled\" , because it is in past tense form, although out of the (4), \"unravel\" is the most suitable (approriate), because \"unravel\" means \" to solve, to work out \" how to use the device (in this context)

So, to clarify
For choice (2), was it \"unravel\" or \"unravelled\" ?

If \"unravel\", then answer is (2)

Or is it even though they use past tense \"unravelled\", they actually mean \"unravel\" ?

Because (1), (3) and (4) -
Do not match the meaning at all

Mine put 4. Recognise. What is the correct answer?
Answer: unravel = figure out

I agree with you. Maths Paper 1 will be easier but Maths Paper 2 will be a killer with some “difficult” questions!

This is second year of PSLE that is testing P6 pupils the new Maths syllabus!!
