Must be really very tough... Duno how my dd will react... Hope never leave a lot of questions blank... Sigh....
Usually scores 85 to 90 for all the schools’ prelim papers and past PSLE papers. -
So fast released already? Or school says estimated release time is 1.30pm

Need to put on a brave front and cheer the kids on. There’s still 2 more papers to go.
It is awfully sad to hear a child cry because of an exam. -
Console the kid that he’s not alone so his t score will not be adversely affected if everyone finds is tough, better still, if Mean is Low and SD is High, you nay find yourself getting higher t score even if u can’t get 91in raw score for instance

That's a very strong pupil....gosh i wonder how the weaker ones find it then...

More important to find out how the child is than how the child fared/performed (this is a done deal), and to encourage and support the child through the next 4/5 days…
The Singapore education system is tough and rigourous; the system has thankfully, created many pathways so PSLE is not deterministic. -

Yep, past 2-3 decades have always been 100% per subject. I think parents could be confused by some posts regarding MTL's importance because of 'wider delta' theory, 'narrower bell bottom', and so on.
I dont know who are \"those p6 students\" and why they calculated a higher % allocated to languages. I have no idea who you are referring to. But if they did put a higher weightage onto languages, then yes, I'd say their computation is wrong.phtthp\" post_id=\"1937707\" time=\"1569557420\" user_id=\"35251:
Zappy, u said Not true ?
If not true, then how come those P6 students in their computation of Tscore, using recent 2019 Prelim results, do not divide by 4 equally ? Instead, they computed based on a higher percentage allocated to languages ? Does it mean that their computation for Tscore is wrong, then ?
I quoted various schools P6 briefing notes in my post and it is clearly written in there that ALL 4 subjects have equal weightage.
The calculation of T-score is very clear and transparent. There is a formula that is publicly known. The Tscore for each subject is based on the student's own score and dependent on the average and standard deviation of the cohort. The total T-score is then the sum of all the 4 subjects' T-scores. That's it - no double weightage.

A more challenging paper to each individual, is also testing the resilience of one, how he or she can recover quickly.
The ability to stay composed and perservere till the end, is the journey of life.
My take for my turn to come soon, thanks -

Maybe her P1, 3 and 4 were very strong, so 7-8 wrong was still ok.
Don't worry guys! This is after all a T score exam......so everyone's in the same boat regardless of difficulty of paper. Unlike the new system where absolute score matters, now, as long as you ranked with everyone else, it should be fine? Recalling yest's EL paper discussion, I seemed to think that there are maybe 3-4 questions that folks ain't sure about answers. I think that's ok, my gal in 2016 came back with 7-8 wrong answers yet still get A* so do not despair....you only get worried when you are drifting away from the masses in the wrong way.
Another thing to note, SHHK papers std is higher than others. CFS? -
Just fetched my son, the paper is manageable, not super hard. My son isn’t the best at math but he thinks it’s alright.
