My DS is very sad… he said the math paper is so difficult this year. His class was very upset about this year paper. 2018 was such easier.

[quote=mistakeninmaths post_id=1938006 time=1569579097 user_id=177551]Hello, just want to ask if they just say 详情 but in the poster they write both 报名的日期地点 时间 and 项目的日期地点时间must we write both?

        mistakeninmaths,

If the requirement stated is 详情 or 活动详情
        - 日期
        - 时间
        - 地点

        If it’s 报名详情
        - 报名日期 and/or 报名截止日期
        - 报名方式 and/or 报名地点
        - 报名费 if any

        Hi patlsy79,

It depends on the question. Usually it's 邀请 + 说明参加的原因 or 邀请 + 活动详情 ---> this will be stated in the question. It is unlikely that they just ask you to 邀请. If it's the former, then no, don't need to include information on date, time, venue.

If it's 约, then definitely have to state date, time and venue that falls on/between the given period/information. For example:

        日期:10月1日至10月15日
        时间:早上9点至旁晚6点
        地点:红山民众俱乐部礼堂

then just pick date and timing that's between the state ones (我们10月3日,下午两点,在红山民众俱乐部见,好吗? / 我想约你在 10月10日,早上10点在红山民众俱乐部礼礼堂一起参加,,, ,,, ).
Thanks so much Laoshi. I got what you meant! Shall explain to my kids for this cos they said different teacher said differently. I guess sch teacher is saying the same as you.

Don't mention it, patlsy79. Just need to take note not to write extra (e.g. if they say 1 reason, then just give 1. otherwise, will get marks deducted)

          Just my two cents…

English and Maths papers are over so let’s move on. We urge you to move on not because we don’t have children taking psle this year or because we are kaypohing and telling experienced parents on what to do but because there is no point in further stressing your kids with a “done” deal. So what if his or her answer is right or wrong now? What’s done cannot be undone but the rest of the Exam is yet to be realized.

Some experienced parents in this forum have offered very good advice and support to all of you who have kids taking psle this year. Be grateful and Thank you.

2 or 3 more papers to go … … 加油 !! keep on fighting!! Keep your kids healthy, hydrated and feed them well.

          Cheers.

Thank you chenlaoshi. May I also ask you why in this test paper, ticket price is needed?
            Link:
            https://www.testpapersfree.com/pdfs/P6_Chinese_SA2_2018_Tao_Nan_Exam_Papers.pdf
Username123, the answer provided isn't very accurate (majority, if not all of these are produced by the company that sold the sch papers).

There is no need to mention that \"the script is adapted based from ... ...\". Also, if they need the student to state relevant fee, they will be clearer in their question. 好朋友 does not definitely means he/she must be a child ($15). If fee is required, they will state detailed information like 你六年级的同学志文 or 你的好朋志文友今年十岁 etc.

For note writing question (4 marks), language is worth 2 marks and content is worth 2 marks.

As long as your DS tried his best, does it matter what is his grade for Math? 2018 no doubt is an easier Math paper than 2019 but we should not forget that pupils struggling with Maths will still find 2018 paper challenging.

As a parent, no other person has the right, be it some other folks from forum or Facebook PSLE groups, yes, no other person has the right to tell you not to ask your child what happened today.

Move on is so easy to say but as a parent, you need to prepare your child for a good closure for PSLE Maths Paper and discussed whatever you want today and we will stop and move on to Mother Tongue subject or Science subject.

This forum has been a conversation starter for my child as I show her what other parents are posting here and she glanced and gave her comments. How well you understand your child is nothing compared to a stranger’s comment of move on. So please respect each parent’s choice of to discuss or not to discuss. By discussing over it, we give this maths paper a good proper closure.

Whoever says we need to move on from discussing for this past PSLE papers, is certainly not showing respect for another person in cyber world,

Everyone deserves the right to discuss what they want!

                    termjin68,

Not much time left, already Friday night 10 pm. 2 more hours, will be midnight and the day is soon over. We can't do anything with Maths anymore, is over ! Can't take back the Maths paper 2, to re-do change its content. I know it is painful & hurting for some of us here, but sadly, we can't do anything.

Concentrate your energy & effort on Science, going to be a killer (tough) paper, next Tuesday. Know is easier said than done...

IF don't concentrate, will be even sadder, worse situation next week, after Science over. Also, focus on mother tongue. Jiayou, persevere on, we are half-way through the battle, already reached the half-way mark, going to reach (touch) the finishing line, soon. Tell your son that he had come a long way so far, isn't it ? Tell him he is a good soldier, he had fought a good fight, he had already reached the half-way mark. Tell him to hang on, don't give up, hang on for a little bit longer there. Yes, continue to fight on, jiayou ! We are together with you in this fight, you are not alone. Let's fight on together, termjin68, for Science & mother tongue (be it Malay / Tamil / chinese). Charge yah ! DO NOT look back anymore. CHARGE forward !!!

                        Sembgal,

Sure. If your child needs closure by discussing the answers of a past paper in order to move on then so be it but make sure the child takes it well knowing that he or she has made mistake/s already and will not affect the upcoming papers. I’m saying don’t go bugging a child for his or her answer because you are anxious to find out how he or she has fared.
Certainly, you know your child best.

“ Whoever says we need to move on from discussing for this past PSLE papers, is certainly not showing respect for another person in cyber world,
Everyone deserves the right to discuss what they want!”

Who is robbing you the right to discuss?? This is an open forum, you can’t be robbed this privilege.

Let’s show respect for everyone who begs to differ from your views.
