I don’t know where to post this question. I looked at the secondary threads. But don’t know where to post. Or maybe never look hard enough.

So anyway I just ask here. Maybe other parents have similar thoughts.

I want to buy a laptop for kid’s use in secondary school. Thinking that upcoming Tech Show, Sitex and Megatex IT fairs should have good deals. But is there such a thing as secondary students buy laptop through school, maybe school negotiates a good deal with vendor?

And I see sec school kids carry laptop to school. So lightweight and portability and battery life most important factors in choosing yes? Not biggest screen possible?

And can I say, that should not get Apple, cos of campatabilty issues? I assume kids will collaborate and share docs on projects?

some secondary schools may requires students to buy laptop, and they usually will link with vendors to provide student price to buy the laptop. and the laptop models will have already been reviewed and approved by the school. i will suggest to wait till reporting to secondary school. information usually will be provided during orientation day.

Actually both 40 eggs tart each 1.80 and 46 egg tart each 1.53 works. This question is very vague therefore there is 2 scenario.IF each egg tart is 1.53 each jamie bought 40 it would 61.20 then she apply her 15% total would be 52.02 and she gets 9.18 change back . With 9.18 she buy 6 more egg tart .BUT if each egg tart is $1.80 and she buys 40 it would be 72 and then she apply her 15% disc it would be 61.20. SO both answer WORKS.

the question is, both has (or spent) $61.20.

                if 40 tarts x $1.80 = $72
                if 46 tarts x $1.53 = $70.38

no way the answer will WORKS since its above the $61.20 :slapshead: :slapshead: :slapshead:

For secondary school, the child will definitely need access to computer at home. Fair bit of work/study done on the computer. However, at sec 1, not all schools require student to bring laptop to school everyday. Some schools will have their own requirement as to which brand and model as well.

So if there is a computer already at home which your child can use, then wait for the school to tell you what is required for school.
