yup. my DD teacher was telling my DD, that at least she take effort to submit letter of absence, where some students just simply MIA.
I think it's important for parents to at least let the school know first before taking out their kids or hols. I have came across parents who just let their kids absent from school with no explanation to the school (MIA). -

For lower primary, I recommend the 米小圈 series and the 笑猫 series.
O_O_Dad, it's so inspiring! Do you have recommendations for Chinese books for lower primary boy that I can read to please?O_O_Dad\" post_id=\"1940752\" time=\"1570756389\" user_id=\"61178:

My son stopped reading Chinese books at about P3, but I finally managed to revive his interest.. Now at secondary one, he is reading not only his English novels, but also Chinese martial arts novels frequently. First time in 4 years, he heard a Chinese school teacher telling him, “You are very good at Chinese language.. I can tell you are having fun with it..” hopefully my personal anecdotes helps you to find useful ways for your kids. Let me know if u enjoy reading. -

In response to queries from The Straits Times, the Ministry of Education has revealed that around 6 per cent of students leave the IP before graduation.
It also revealed that of those who complete the six years leading to the A levels or the International Baccalaureate exams, less than 5 per cent fail to qualify for local universities.
MOE explained that the IP may not be the best route for everyone. \"There could be a small number who may not find this to be the most suited to their strengths and learning styles,\" it said. -

Which is why we find plenty of 250s and 260s opting for the standard Express stream.

The most impt thing is to aim to score well for stellar results in whatever the kids are doing..... every one will rather have a 6 A1s o level cert than to be in IP and then end up not doing well...... no point.....

There will definitely be all forms of bursaries available. Different school hv different support available but the government has came out to say that all deserving children can afford the high level of school fees of the independent schools. I am confident of it cause my child's mthly fees is $300+ but he receives these support and I paid like less than $10/mth.
Hi,
would like to enquire whether any one of you are aware of any other scholarship or bursary (besides the MOE one) that I can apply for?
I have 3 school going children and household income is not very high.
Thank you -
Fyi
For Appeal into Sec 1 intake - some Secodary schools like Catholic High expect P6 students to write up, 300 words, reasons behind why want to Appeal
