Just wondering… Most mention distance as a factor in school selection…any parents here of older kids who travel to school?

Or anyone who does not mind the travel time and is considering a school that requires travel?
What would you consider as an OK traveling time?

Majority of the people will fall within 0.72-0.75

It is not a 100% thing that all students fall within the range. It is only used as a guide that students’ tscore will likely fall within that range.

So if your tscore is more than 0.75 of your prelims, then you could jolly well say that you did better than expected.

ours is in that range ..

Guess you would have the possible schools in mind line up
Yes floppy.. and feel dd should be able to enjoy her secondary education 😄

My elder son studying in SJI, we lived in Admiralty. It boiled down to what ur kids really like the sch or not, if nearby n your kid doesn’t like the sch at all, it will be a pain to go to sch everyday. My son dun mind to travel 1 hrs to sch, he loved his sch n looking forward everyday

personally i feel tat door-to-door 45 min is roughly the max travel time for a reasonably comfortable routine in sec sch, considering tat they often have to stay late in school for all kinds of activities.

                Regular kids 0.72-0.75.

Imp75’s, Serendipity’s kid, Chewsy’s elder kid & other spectacular kids: up to 0.77

Or KSP wanna vote for our new range 0.72-0.77??
in my child's case, she was kinda shocked by how badly she did for prelims, so she did put in more efforts in practising past year papers b4 going for the actual psle....turned out her T-score is 0.78 of prelim total marks.

How does one reach Temasek Junior college from Bedok MRT station. Is there a direct bus?
