May I know how to check a secondary school recent GCE O level result % of students qualify for JC, poly?

Any feedback on Geylang Methodist and Beatty secondary? Struggling whether to put my child to a school near his COP or near home but with a much lower COP…

Both not from MOE source, even ST could be fake news. Still not convinced.

S.T. *is* the official mouthpiece of MOE lah. I believe Timmy21. And all the other KSP forummers before him who gave advice in precious years.

Only the AL system won’t have decimal points.

And only in the AL system will choice order matter.

Seems like many are very confused with these 2 systems.
Apparently, MOE also make it very clear that this year is whole number vs whole number and if same same, both candidates will ballot. No such thing as decimals. I think spelling it out is to prep parents for the AL system.

Some people believe the earth is flat. You can’t win them all.

But isn’t that what everyone is saying?
If two or more people have the same t-score is at the COP and there are more students than places, everyone with the COP t-score will ballot.

                lego:
CCA points - I think it follows the LEAP framework.
The following attachment gives examples on level of attainment and bonus points awarded.
                https://www.moe.gov.sg/docs/default-source/document/education/programmes/co-curricular-activities/leaps-2.pdf
                Yes, as lego points out...

MKS, your Sec school may be able to explain better... But, take a look at lego's recommended reading link. I can dig out my kid's cca record to explain to you (via pm) if you still have questions. Basically, in performing arts, sports, clubs etcetera, you need to be a (apologies for this careless use of word, but) so-called VIP (committee, medal winner) in order to get a higher grade (participation versus leadership for instance). But in UG, there are planned workshops & whatnots happening regularly, & after those sessions, you take some simple tests, you get promoted in ranks, & there are comparatively more leadership positions available. Hence, UG is more effective in chocking up CCA points, this is (somewhat) how the CCA Head had explained to us... ;-)
Thank you Lego & sky! So many things..yes, sky dont mind pm me whatever info you have so that I could keep for reference 😓

In the cuurent Tscore system, students are still ranked by their Tscore including decimal places. But for the last vacancy left for a school, all similar Tscores based on rounded score are tie-broken by citizenship status followed by computerised ballot. It is clearly explained in a 2015 article as shown in the weblink below.
