Saw the below Facebook post that highest score for KCPS is 280 and was just reminded ‘oh yeah hor’ this year ksp forum don’t have a thread on top t-score for each school? 😛

I’m wondering how other schools perform besides the GEP schools ( I assume they did very well as per usual), as I think my school did not do very well in my opinion and hence wondering what’s the general feel/take now?

i would say my dd's school did better than last year based on the number of students above 250. But I don't know the top t-score.

Heard Admiralty Primary School scores 281...

Would appreciated valuable feedbacks and recommendation regarding to the following schools. My boy score 225. We went to several open house over the week and this is the list we came up with.
        1. Hai Sing 223 - has CCA that my boy is interested to join, Alp fit my boy's learning interest.
        2. Bowen 226- his friend is in the same sch, direct bus to sch.
        3. Pei Hwa 224- hot school in Seng kang , 5 min bus ride.
4.Deyi 220- strict discipline , direct bus to school
        5. Greendale 210 - 10mins direct bus to school, son like the relaxed environment there, interested in the ALP design tech and engineering
        6. Compassvale 214- stem edu (sci, tech, engineering and maths ), fill up the 6 choices.
        Very good selection.

        Good luck!

Ours is a small nbh pri sch. My son’s classmate got 276+2. Not sure if she is the highest. But we had a record number of 250 and above, two-thirds are girls : )

Hi! Would appreciate valuable feedback and recommendations. My boy scored 216. We went to the open houses for both North Vista (COP 214) and Compassvale (214). They both seem okay to us, in terms of the subject combinations offered and also the CCA varieties, thus we cannot make a decision. Does anyone know more about these schools, in terms of culture, teachers, or any other things we may have missed out? Thanks.

My daughter had scored 244 and she wants to know which sch is better either PLMGS or Tanjong Katong Girls Sch. Since PLMGS has only 20% for non affliated sch intake, is there a chance that she get in there.

If a person with 240 applies for sch A as first choice and another person with 244 applies for sch A as the second choice, who would get the place assuming that the COP is 241 for this year at that school. Cedar Girls has consistently had a COP of 250, are there any chances for a score of 244 this year. Please guide me.

If Hai Sing cut off point increase to 226, your child’s T-score of 225 may not even qualify him for Hai Sing 226, Bowen 226 and Pei Hwa 226if demand increases as these are highly sought after schools due to the good school reputation. Deyi is another school near AMK mrt and is equally popular choice by those scoring 22X or 23X. If Deyi increase cut off point to 226, you will be left with Greendale 210. If Greendale unexpectedly increase cut off point to 226 (just a possibility), you will miss it by 1 point and you may not even have your 6th choice as you place the higher cut off point compassvale at the bottom.

The computer ballot by the score from highest to lowest score. You have to choose wisely otherwise, you end up being posted by MOE to any school that has vacancy near your house.

Just to share a true story, the child did not get any of the 6 choices and ended up at Peicai Sec (Serangoon) even though the child lives in Yishun.

Do you know if most of the above 250 scorers have multiple subjects tuition?

In recent years, I have come to realise that many top scorers in neighbourhood schools attend 2 to 4 subjects tuition/enrichment too, just like students in popular schools. The only difference is the % with tuition is lower in neighbourhood schools.

PLMGS O levels (non-affiliated) and Cedar O levels cut off points is 250.

244 will not be able to enter 250 cut off points schools. You can try but it will be like wasting your first 2 choices.

You may have a good chance with Tanjong Katong girls instead.

                      244 T score, first 2 choices near to T-score, 3rd and 4th choices should choose schools around 23X and 5th and 6th choice 22X.

If you want to put Cedar and PLMGS as first 2 choices and Tanjong Katong girl’s as 3rd choice, you must ensure that your 6th choice is at least 20 points difference away to play safe.

For 2019 cohort, merits comes first. The higher T-scorer will be allocated those dreams schools they have in mind.

In fact, not everyone will want to go high cut off points school. There are cases of 270 to 280 who opt for neighbourhood schools too due to distance factor.

the 244 student will be posted to the school ahead of the 240 student. in fact, the 240 student must wait until all the 243,242,241 students get posted first and if still left with vacancy, then she will get a chance.
