Yes, my dd's class also achieved very very well, and the kids stay in my condo also got 250+, 260+ even 270+. I thought this year's paper was quite difficult. Don't know the cop points will shoot up high or not. Really hard to predict.

I have also known many cases of kids who did unexpectedly well. After exams, a few thought they would not do so well and accepted DSA CO to 2nd or 3rd choice schools. Turns out PSLE t score +20!! Could have gone into ANY schools they wanted.

Last year the papers were supposedly relatively easy, many students did not do as well. Even a number of students from the TOP classes scored between 22+ to 23+. Indeed is so hard to predict. DSA is the best.

In year 2017, tscore went as high as 28X. Last year 2018, due to easier papers, highest tscore I think only 27X and many clustered around 23X, thus, resulting in COP going haywire for many schools.

This year, there are students with tscore of 28X, so it’s a bit similar to 2017. What I am trying to say is, do take a look at COP for 2017 and 2016 when making decisions as last year COP deviated from the norms, especially for the mid tier schools.

If indeed, like what you described earlier is true, then COP for top schools will rise for 2019.

2nd - scgs 'o' level ( cop 252) - Central
3rd - cedar 'o' level ( cop 250) - Potong Pasir
4th - Chung Cheng main SAP 'o' level ( cop 242) Marine Parade
5th - nan chiau SAP 'o' level (cop 244) Sengkang
6th - nan hua SAP 'o' level ( cop 245) Clementi

Not putting the nan chiau n nan Hua. Not convenient. Me staying in north area. We max 10 to 11 stns train for travelling, will be sending my girl to sch but most probably she will come back on her own. Scgs area has a direct bus to our plc

My Daughter got 244. Is it advisable to take a 3rd language. Will it be too straining.
Is it possible to drop the 3rd language mid way

There’s a possibility that RVHS and CGSS will inch upwards. If SCGS stays the same, you are effectively looking at your 4th choice, in the southeast.

Any tot of school setting aside 20% for affiliation? For students without any affiliation, do you all think higher/ lower chance to get in?


I have teacher’s fren who told me, that there might have higher chances since 20% set aside for non-A. Aka, That the COP for non-A might be lowered?

What do u all think?

But seem like quite many applying for cchm, she is 10 point plus, not sure chances high or not?
