Can anyone share more on the Sapphire and SPIRE programmes?

SPIRE programme is a compulsory research programme for all JH2 and JH3 students. They will be exposed to the research process, culminating into research projects and participation in research fairs. Sapphire is a scholars programme, for students did v well in academic as well as leadership from JH3 to SH2.

I see. Thank you! What percentage of students get into Sapphire I wonder?
Sapphire is basically as described - for student leaders who are good academically also - there are certain programmes planned for them. Not sure the percentage.

NJC Canoeing is Very strong nationally - be prepared to train on site at MacRitchie (Kallang for Dragon Boat) at least 3times a week. No breaks during Jun/Dec holidays.

Sports CCA plus 3rd language will be tiring, Very.

(Disclaimer: sorry, my kids are not in the team though)
Ok thanks! i think my child can't take up the third lang. tks

            Is njc better than rv?

My dd want to do Chinese and in Co Ed. With 259 as score, many feel we should go for njc a \"better\" sch.
One River Valley High parent shared that there are

back to back graded weekly (tests, assignment, projects).

RV IP curriculum sound more stressful, more \"xiong\"

Does anyone know during boarding time, when will the student need to report to boarding in the evening, meaning after that it is not allowed to go out any more? Thanks.

Canoeing available 5-days a week, choose 3-days for training. If you are very eager, you can also come daily

Although most days there will probably be boarding activities that usually start at 7pm. So they'll have to return before the activities start.
