If I were the one looking for information on NYJC, I wouldn't know how far back I need to scroll to find what I want. So, it is an inconvenience.

I will be moving the posts elsewhere. John Lim has already provided the link to NYJC's facebook, so there's no need to keep on posting the \"features\" here. It is akin to spamming the forum.

So far except the usual forummers ( u kn who ) either jealous or sore or worry abt Ny news, no 1 is complaining abt John's posting.
Such gd posting doesnt take up $ or air space.

Any human harm or reputation lost resulted fr this posting?

Abv all, there re NOT FAKED news, but achieve of mostly DSA Ny kids that did well in A Level ( far exceeding based on their high L1R5 ).

                hello

I have no doubt Nanyang JC is a good JC with good vibes..
but is it necessary to post pages of the testimonial where interested parents would be for sure look up In the website?
it becomes doubtful on the authenticity of the post when it gets it pages and pages....

Well, I was hoping NYJC would feature ALL the students and include their RP in the write-ups. Then, we will be able to calculate the highly \"secretive\" and \"controversial\" mean UAS for the school.

I guess when the school does not have a good UAS score to post, they will selectively post such individual testimonials which frankly does not tell anything about the entire cohort's performance

Thats why I say this college has good\"marketing\"

Kudos to those JCs that have revealed their UAS rank points - RI, HCI , VJC, EJC ( any more that I have missed)

To be a top JC , you need to be transparent on your cohort performance

I am interested to know about published info

On A level cohort results , mean , median etc
Dun really need to know individual top students or individual achievement fr those dsa students as this is not representative of whole cohort of 700 plus students ?

actually, whichever Junior College one is studying in, whether study in Nanyang JC or RI or Hwa Chong or Dunman High or VJC or EJC or ACJC or Anderson JC, etc

it is useful to know the Median or Mean UAS [University Admission score] of that particular or unique A-level subject combination that your own child is taking, inside the entire JC2 cohort. For those H2 subjects that your own child are Not taking, if don't know the Median, never mind, because not keen.

                        example

if a JC2 student is taking A-level H2 subject combination in [Eng Literature, Computer Science, Maths, Physics],
then only keen in the Median of his or her JC2 cohort performance, in these 4 H2 subjects only.

Other subjects that your child not taking, eg : not taking H2 Econs nor H2 History nor H2 Geography nor H2 Chemistry nor H2 Biology nor H2 Chinese Literature nor H2 China Studies nor H1 Project Work

even if the whole JC2 batch inside your A level cohort do well or didn't do well, you won't care, you won't bother, because

your child never even take any of these H2 subjects, in the first case.

How does it impact or affect you, if say, a lot of students scored distinction in say H2 subject X, but your child didn't even take this subject X, in A-level exam.?
