...... they suffer a lot of guilt when they are sick and stay home. They know how it feels like to have to handle extra classes and kids (or patients) when someone goes on MC, and how the kids or patients may not get as much supervision or attention as they should, so it's no wonder that sometimes they may ignore mild symptoms.
This is such a good sharing, Thanks slmkhoo :salute:

          RIP. 🙏

If more widespread, we might soon go into total lockdown or RED. Whatever it is, we’ve gotta continue vigilance with handwashing, masks, physical distancing, develop conscious sense of social responsibility, stay united and not go panic zone.

actually , i do hope for more HBL days ( if we can no need to go into total sch closure) at least few days or seperation also help in keep physical distant fr each other in sch. U know the teens will also go lunch with sch mates afetr sch ... ah yo how to distance away... it is difficult to avoid mingling when it is meal time outside sch 😓

I thnk pri sch not so siong., my dd is ok, prob also they had been trained in learning on line frequently in sch.
Now her tuition also goole class. google meet, zoom , download n submit hw for marking using google classrom

Ya. Now we recognize why govt slow in closing sch. There’re list of other considerations - social costs, monetary costs, eqpt & facilities to set for for kids to continue getting edn’l engagements.

Some families with more than one child need to zoom or teleconference in with teachers, enuf rooms & privacy to do without distractions at home. There will be other kids who will fall btwn cracks & families not enuf laptop/deskstops or not even afford one. To top it, they’ll need WiFi which some disadvantaged families hv no :moneyflies: resources to subscribe.

MOE hv a load of considerations to iron out & doing step-by-step HBL before coming weeks if situation turn for worse, will go RED & shutdown. Can’t get parents all scrambling. They’ve set up computer rooms for students who need IT access & I suppose these parents hv no choice even if their kids will be exposed along the way to sch. At least for these students, the sch wld hv majority students in HBL & enable maintaining of physical distancing.

Hope everyone keep safe & keep healthy!

Currently the P2 case (and his mother) seem to have both caught it from his father, who had gone to work, caught it from dunno where (sick colleagues? Public transport?) and brought it home to infect them.

There is no case (yet) of kids catching it from their schoolmates.

But if such a case arises, I’m sure MOE will take the next step (close that particular school)...even MOH mentioned before, won’t close all schools, just affected school only.

haha mp, I would like them at home as to me home is the safest place. sure will have more disturbances when have HBL but less worries of getting virus. I m ok coz I can arrange to go see my \"boss\" when they are in school..but that's not so much a concern also .. they are kinda used to me running errands on my own..my main duty now is ferrying them around..food they able to settle on own if I let them.

your side HBL looks ok too..you get to work from home or not? the situation now is like we ourselves dunno if we have or not..really protect ourselves at same time protect others..

personally I find school is a not a very safe place...so many students from all over Spore..go home to working adults, take mrt go office go makan..to helpers wait they still go gathering on off days..to grandparents go supermarket/wet mkt

Am thinking if the current situation calls for suspending my kids’ private piano classes?

Tr has not suggested but maybe waiting for parents to? Tr has a full time job so not an issue I think.

Shouldnt then they do a survey of which child will have the facilities and means to stay home, and let all of those stay home?
