Yes with the cancellation, more tough to DSA. Not sure if MOE will go away with DSA for this year. It is also challenging for teachers to cover all topics before prelim and PSLE. This year is really a difficult one.

Is it for those P6/ S4/JC2 kids as well? I thought it is for all other levels, except those taking board exams. Need to check.. It would be tough if DSA is based on P5 result
heard All Mid year exam cancelled !

My kid P5 results was disaster! Last year papers were all rather challenging. I find all these SAP/GEP schools like to set tough papers. There was improvement in CA1 and I was hoping he continue to improve in SA1 so that at least there is a chance to DSA. Too bad that there is no more mid year exam.

All School-based Mid-year exam are cancelled, including P6 / S4 / JC2 students

The next exam is prelim and shortly after is PSLE. Without mid-year exam is lesser stress for the students but may not be beneficial. Personally I still prefer mid-year to continue for P6 but for other levels, it is fine to remove.

I've watched the video in the link, but I don't quite agree with the MCQ elimination method. The method is meant to help the student \"save time\" by finding the answer without the need to read through all the options.

Hi,
My child is weak in Science MCQ. However, when I test her about basic concepts, she can answer.
Anyone can help? Thanks a lot!
Sounds like your child needs to learn how to APPLY the Science concepts to questions; or, maybe she needs to learn some answering strategies like elimination method, assumption method, etc. For starters, can try out https://studysciencesmart.com/get-more-primary-science-mcqs-correct-faster-advanced-elimination-method/.
Hope it helps her! :xedfingers:
However, in many PSLE questions, the options can be very tricky. Hence the student should always read through ALL the options before deciding the right answer. Not reading through all the options is risky, and can easily lead to careless mistakes. -
All P6 students, taking PSLE this year -
so far, how do you all find HBL (Home based learning ) content taught, for core subjects (languages English, Chinese, Maths, Science) ?
(won’t mention the Non-Psle subjects here like Art, PE)
Any of your (or which) primary schools, using or implemented the interactive online Zoom technology, for above Psle examinable 4 subjects, because these 4 subjects will be used to determine your exiting T-score final last batch, entering Secondary schools next year ?
Or
most of u still using SLS (Student learning space) ? -

Shall see the next few days. Last Wed was still mainly SLS. No live teaching yet.
Sigh ... stressful... esp for teachers & parents!
Hopefully the learning won’t be too compromised. -

In my DS school, last Wednesday they tried Zoom, some technical issues. That too only one subject. Rest of them were through SLS. SLS also had technical issues like can't upload documents / sound recordings etc., Need to see how it will go next few weeks. My DS mentioned Zoom sessions only for Math and Science. I am worried about English and MT as teachers asked them to do mostly in SLS.phtthp\" post_id=\"1970228\" time=\"1586230953\" user_id=\"35251:
