Kid came home with plenty of printed worksheets, to be kept at home and done according to the HBL plan. At least we don’t need to print out those ourselves.

Subject teacher also brought all of them to the computer lab and taught them how to do videoconferencing with proper etiquette and behavior. This one is the biggest help to parents.

Will your condo management office open? Mine not.

Btw, long queue at CPF. Why ar?
Ppl paranoid want to know how much they hv in CPF acct? Some ppl taking this one-month to note down all their assets; some ppl consolidating assets in case of uneventful for family members to reach out to or allocation time? So go Q for printouts or clarifications?

There are some with legitimate worries. Particularly those who hv lost their jobs & still need to finance mortgages thro CPF, etc. Kind of led me to reflection & thots of some of my Professor frds & those financially stable & with empathetic hearts who will not take the Solidarity sum given to them but release it back for helping those who wld approach govt for help as this crisis persists.

Altho there are those who fear for their bz losses (no bz, rent still running, wages still hv yo be paid, etc) and probably highly geared & need to sell off properties & assets. Need to check CPF A/c to see how to re-distribute assets/liabilities. Some high spirit ones looking at mkt want to own that dream house despite this dire outbreak. Check how much can they tap on for property purchases to own sth but may not realize his job is dangling. Cheez!

Like I just rec’d a call fr Citibank mktg to advice me how to maximize my credit card. Then UOB called to inform special rates promotion. Told them both off that during this crisis, these are not essentials. My families needs are top priority. Cheez! Maybe I was shortfused coz getting angst abt circuit breaker kicking in. Haiz!

So, your guess is as good as mine lah. There are indeed strange thoughts flying ard in panic.

My elder son is in Sec One. As he takes public transport to and from school, we are very worried abt him catching the virus, thus we informed the school that we choose to let him stay home from Monday onwards. I am very disappointed with the school when they replied with they will mark my son "absent without valid reason". How is this not considered as a valid reason?! Even the doctors have acknowledged that carriers may not show any symptoms at all . His school is also not making it mandatory for everyone to wear masks, and the teacher dared to claim that the school is very safe. Really disheartened with our local school system!

Pap ward also got Cori brand if that comfort your friend a bit.
Just collected our masks and they are Cori sponge ones. Are they lasting? They seem rather fragile to me. And are they hotter to wear than cloth ones? I think I'll make some cotton ones for ourselves anyway since we'll need at least 2 each.

I thought I.T. and electronics (repair and sales) are supposed to remain open.

                How about Challenger then?

What if we need to buy printer ink?[/quote]
I did get an extra cartridge yesterday from popular, in case for HBL need to print out sheets.

Now with 4 of us at working/studying from home this week - my house will be a mad house.

Dont have 4 study desks, got computer chairs though. Only two study desks, one standing desk in living room to work (cant take calls) and two foldable laptop stand. Dunno if should just go to the hdb furniture shop and get a small table ( dun wanna go ikea cause of crowd). So far I have been using son’s desk . Ideas?

                      hi,
does anyone know if Courts will still open tomorrow till 7 may?

                      Nope.
Same goes for Best Denki, Gain City, Harvey Norman etc.

What happens if the refrigerator breaks down or kettle need replacement?

we have extra tables… we have 4 tables including dining table…but we will only using 2 laptops. 1 for sharing kept at fixed place…sharing with 1 dd…we will just take turns to use… dd1 likes to use laptop on bed…

use on sofa? we also have this small short table like breakfast on bed table…can use also…

maybe just take turns with the available tables. Since each has own laptop, the one done the work can close the laptop let sibling use?

ikea likely crowded…how abt small furniture shop at neighbourhood?
