Actually realized govt circuit breaker for office staff one day before sch is good too as parents can help drive kids home esp those who hv to carry books fr lockers home for 1 mth HBL. Saw quite a few students hv to take public tpt home, some carrying photocopy box of books. Probably some thotful teachers gather fr admin office for some of their students.

So far, it seems like the 20,000 FWs will continue to stay put inside the gazetted isolated Dorms. Hope the task force can act on the matter fast!
I believe the task force working very hard to setup more sites to spread & hold the overcrowded tobthe seams dormitories. Now we can empathize, whilst these foreign workers help build our roads & bldgs, with residences preferring dormitories are not within local communities, they’ve to subject themselves to cramp living conditions. Whilst they’ve accepted it as their lot, in unusual times like this requiring physical distancing, they’ve really nowhere to go. I’m sure our govt will spread them out given next few critical days to contain spread so that these will not infiltrate into our local h’hold.lee_yl\" post_id=\"1970202\" time=\"1586181643\" user_id=\"17023:
Can. That is what it is happening now in US, Italy and Spain.
In SG, most probably form an medical ethics committee by MOH to decide who to save if we do not have enough respirators/ventilators.
Now the Dorm clusters are just like Princess Diamond cruise ship, a disaster waiting to happen. All the FWs in isolation will be cramped inside the gazetted dorm and each of them only has an average of 4sqm living space!
Better to quickly disperse the 20,000 of them to Changi Airport terminal 2 for isolation, just spread them out for actual social distancing. BMT just got postponed, right, so use the barracks to hold these FWs lah. How about old schools, SERS flats waiting to be demolished etc. Just let these FWs stay in these different areas to prevent a repeat of the Princess Diamond disaster.
MOH should quickly advise on the best mode of isolation for these FWs so why they soooo quiet?!
What we shld reflect is our own local students groups, expat communities do constrain themselves & bear this one month out & not mingle unnecessarily to create even more clusters. Condos shld close gyms (unless machines are innopen doace, erhm) & residents shld not social ard BBQ corners & put in 1m separation for seats/benches, etc. Residents (esp students on laptops) shld be not loiter at void decks or community Centres just to avoid family friction which may encourage others gathering at void decks or CCs.
Hope the Expo site has been quickly setup for use this week. Yes, agree army barracks or blocks due for demolition shld be utilized for addition as quarantine or treatment sites for light cases. Question is do we hv enuf nursing support & security supervision for addition sites.
Don’t think the 400-bed isolation facilities at Expo is meant for the FWs. MOH said in ST that it’s for those who are recovering from Covid-19 or with mild symptoms, will move over from hospitals to free up the hospital beds. 400 beds also not enough for the 20,000 FWs to space them out although I heard the project to convert Halls 3 and 4 just put up for tender. By the time they are ready, I think the 14 days crucial period could be over already. Don’t forget we still have few new Dorm clusters popping up.
It is just an isolation facility so there’s no need for so many nurses there but do need someone like police to guard the FWs. -
Thanks, we did. But they are currently closed. Don’t think they can deliver?

Ya. I’m concern not enuf to space FW out. So pitiful to hv no where to run to & afraid the next FW is infected or might spread to them. They’re still a human life, doing work that S’poreans will not labor at & each hv families back in their hometown.
Realized our small redot SG still need to convert more space for quarantine & isolation. Looks like might need to extend LOAs of foreign workers if the FW clusters or cases increases. Still need a solution to space then out. I see a lot of undeveloped land & wonder is temporary tents (shelter sun & rain) can be erected as NY did when they ran out of space.
Skeletal onsite medical resources still needed but security definitely must be in place. You don’t know what reaction once these workers fear for life & want to exert themselves for freedom or sth. It is good we see them putting in 2-3 big police cars with police servelliance 24/7 -

I hope there are laws that can be invoked to deter people from holding mini BBQ parties at their condo. I saw on Facebook, this particular shop selling raw satay, BBQ chicken wings will stay open and also provide deliveries during this circuit-breaker period
The concern is, those not working, will have too much time on hand, will start socialising since they have received some form of compensation from the budget. No pain, hence no worry. 😓
Now that Singaporeans have nowhere to go, will all head to supermarkets to kill time?
The NTUC at TPY was very crowded this morning and I saw at least 20 customers (mostly students) crowding around Bubble Tea shop!!
I walked pass 美珍香, staff still roasting Bak kwa,
I am very worried whether our Circuit Breaker will work out as well as hoped.
We are taking things too lightly and need constant reminders to stay home to minimise movements and mingling. -

recently ,my dh has been on later work arrangment & this morn as he did his daily run , he saw exceptional more number of youngster and seniors \"socialising\" in the park today , walking pets n talking etc .... I really hope these people be more responsible n keep safe distance away fr each other... younger couples exercise \"park tor\" in parks since tertiary is having sch holidays etc?

I do not wish to see continue climb in case numbers & extreme measures by G or police or army need to patrol out to control irresponsible people movements... we should learn lesson fr ang mo countries , not obedient enough and community spread becomes wild fire
older aunties use market & supermarket as \"gather\" places - they go marketing together :slapshead:
