Science started, at which level ?
Primary 3, because (P1 and P2) honeymoon years, no Science been taught yet

all P6 students' exam (mid-year exam SA1 + final year-end SA2) results, are stored inside respective primary schools' computer database. NUS High selection panel team would have direct access to all 2020 P6 applicants' info,
four subjects exam results( past 4 years), starting from (P3 all the way up to P6 CA1, February). Government only announced \"No 2020 mid-year P6 SA1 exam\", but up to P6 CA1 (February), Yes, still captured your P6 results.

When you submit your application inside DSA online portal, the portal will provide some rows for you to key in, punch in your comments (supporting achievements).

Example, of such a comment
say, student passed P3 Round 1 GEP test, but didn't manage to clear Round2 GEP test, back then in Year 2017 P3

Why ?
because when student took the GEP test back then in P3, GEP test included testing Maths and English. Even though no Science was tested inside GEP test, but still, students were tested in Maths, that shows their Maths is strong. After all, NUSH is a school for students strong in (Maths + Science). Their emphasis is mainly, on these 2 subjects

Even if you are a Mainstream (Non-GEP ) P6 pupil, didn't participate in any Olympaid competition, but if u have other supporting documents elsewhere, just add them into the comments section, to \"beef up\" your own application, to be considered for short-listing, since NUSH this covid year had done away with Round 1 academic tests and with Round 2 camp site Science experiment tests.

Although No \"Face-to-Face\" interview, however, NUSH will still conduct an online interview, at your own primary school's premises, if you have been short-listed for virtual interview.

may we know, where u get this source from ?

is it from MOE website, or from NUS High website ?

if from NUS High website, means apply only to NUSH P6 DSA applicants

but if from MOE website, means apply to ALL P6 DSA applicants, regardless of which Seconday school u apply DSA for. That means, no \"Academic\" subject test conducted whatsoever, for those who applied under \"Academic\" domain

Thank you, for clarification

A very common impression amongst parents is that they ask if NUS High is a school for GEP students.

For the 2018 batch of Year 1s, the 170 cohort came from 74 primary schools.
For the 2019 batch of Year 1s, the 169 cohort came from 78 primary schools.
(Source - NUSH Facebook page)

The figures tell a different story …

So what are the figures for percentage of GEP students per Y1 cohort? Is this info made transparent?
But this also shows you can be from a neighbourhood secondary school and end up teaching prodigy kids at NUS High!!
This statement is true for secondary students from neighbourhood school too. Many hard/smart working kids manage to enjoy their learning journey in this school. The good attitude plus a conducive environment help to groom my child to be a fine young man now.

All the best wishes to your classmate.
Happy Teaching

What questions can we expect during the interview if shortlisted?
I think most won’t know, because in the past interview is only for the unsure case. Most of the students didn’t go through the interview. First round paper assessment is sort of filter a minimum requirement in Math and Science ability or knowledge. The second round activities assessment is encompassing a lot of aspect including passion in the subjects, creativity, perseverance and etc. So most are confirm or reject based on the first 2 rounds. But given the situation now, likely it will change. Even the questions may be different from the past.
