I wonder if LKC has enough scholarships established to award as compared to YLL?

Did you ask why these 3 schoolmates chose LKC over YLL ?

Majority thinking YLL is top well established , top medicine university ranking compared to NTU , provides much better facilities and net working ,and cheaper in school fee ? But why some still LKC ?
because LKC location near to house ? Study style ?
        Selection criteria more strict ?
LKC graduated with a joint degree from Imperial College NTU. In future when need to apply to overseas univ for posting, Imperial Coillege is a big name compared to NUS YLL a local univ. Also, they prefer LKC for the smaller cohort. 150 is a good size for a medical school. Anything more than 200 students is considered a big cohort, and it takes a strain on the teaching staff. If u read the research and history behind why Singapore setup a second medical school, you will understand why they prefer LKC.

Heard many YLL kids skip lectures, maybe LKC teaching style suits them better.

No doubt we are all familiar with NUS YLL because this is the only medical school that we know of. My son also chose LKC over YLL. I trust he understands what works best for him.

I only know the kids are scrambling to apply for hostels. Likely advantages are more friends to be made, reduced travelling time, more campus activities and CCA/sports etc.

                Hi! Apple12245,
I guess that it should be around now and end before 17 June (2nd acceptance window). Offer would make as and when places are available. This was stated on LKCSoM information leaflet sent via email to those after their MMI interviews. NTU will definitely send notification to those on waitlist regardless of the outcome.

I have heard that the waitlist was around 60. At the moment we hope for the best.
                Hi,
Many thanks to your info. About the wait list number of 60, is this info from the NTU admission office?
Btw, has the wait list started moving? Has anyone heard of students in LKC waitlist gotten firm offer?

Hopefully everyone in the waitlist, including my friend's daughter will be offered to NTU meds very soon. While waiting, if by word of mouth, anyone has any ideas how many students has accepted the offer in NTU meds? Would appreciate if there is some numbers.

Personally heard 2 girls and 2 boys on waitlist being offered by YLL on 25 May, Monday evening. All are from neighhourhood JCs. Heard a high percentage of YLL students are now from neighbourhood JCs rather than from the elite JCs.
