Hi! MsGoh
Any updates on the LKC waitlist?
NTU LKCSoM replied that they will inform all waitlisted candidates of their admission outcome as soon as possible and they hope to finalize the incoming intake by mid-July. For the moment just be patient while we wait. My son is also on waitlist too. I believe those on LKCSoM waitlist here will also be glad to update us if they receive response from them. -

Son another 7 months to ORD., Jan 2021. Now already in ord mood. This morning received Disruption shortlisted notice. Mindef most likely will give Disruption Notice today and to be decided/accepted by today.
Should accept the disruption? Any very good advices ? URGENT -

For your case is very straightforward. Accept the disruption since the army is giving him an early ORD. Unlike those who disrupted with remaining 1 years plus. They have to continue to serve the remaining months of year after graduating. Your son might not need to serve the remaining 7 months as it might be considered unproductive and I think the army is considering this as an early ORD disruption.

Finish the service first? Cos nephew did that few years back. He said it is so disruptive. He should have completed the service. Did not ask further his reason cos we meet up on CNY and was very busy.

Disruption under medicine disruption scheme. Since balance 7 months, need to add another about 6 months to serve. Total another 13 months at least to serve after finished study.
Any good advice ? No early ORD -
Those who have less than 12 months of service to ORD would have to do a voluntary extension to their service. The current COVID-19 situation is going to cause quite a fair bit of disruption to the conduct of the lessons and practical sessions especially for this year. So all these factors should be taken into consideration when deciding whether or not to opt for disruption.

If need to 'top up' 6 months to meet minimum 12 months when resume serving, then not worth it. This is practical consideration. Especially if there is plan to do something after ORD while waiting for med school to start. If no plan and committed and passionate about serving NS, then can consider disrupt. Personal view only.

Decided Not to accept the offer of disruption . Ord first. Study next year
