Tuition centers should not force parents to accept digital learning at full fees.

I think e-tuition should be fine for older students, those in secondary school and JC. However, tuition centres should at least provide basic services. They should print out and send the tuition notes to the student’s house by courier.
Which tuition centre is professional enough to provide such a service during this period? Only Mind Stretcher?
I heard some still charge full fee and expect parents to do all the printing. -
Yes online lessons are more suitable for secondary and jc students and perhaps those who have better self disciplined primary students.
Busy bees do print and send out materials. We also have a 15% discount for the 3rd term course.
Of course there were some teething issues in the beginning like late arrival of materials, calls or emails were either unanswered or took a long time to reply but after a week or two, things have more or less settled down.
Feedback from my child is lesson is still ok. Doesn’t make much of a difference to him between online and physical lesson but that’s only his opinion. Others might have other opinion. No right no wrong. -

I heard from a colleague whose daughter goes to a relatively well-known but small scale tuition centre for IP science and Math tuition. Tuition starts at 10am but only receive the materials 30min before start of the tuition and expect students to have the notes printed.
Maybe smaller scale tuition centres = lack of professionalism. The bigger players are probably more structured except the one at Novena. -

TLL has started mailing out worksheets fortnightly. And they have relented and moved to Zoom.

Yes, if print out worksheets every week, black ink cartridge run out fast.

The more tuition subjects one attend, the more worksheets need to print out, faster the ink need to replenish.
On the other hand, tuition centre may not want to incur extra additional postage costs. That's why some centre asked parents to go down to centre, collect worksheets for students -

Anyway, just my opinion. I have printer at home, I don’t mind printing even though money is indeed tight for my family right now. I am thinking of whoever is that pitiful staff who “needs” to report to work at the tuition center, just to print out stacks and stacks of worksheets to mail out. When govt tells us all to WFH unless absolutely necessary. Is printing documents for customers really essential that you need to risk catching Covid when commuting to work? :?
