      Thanks Chenlaoshi,

My child practices the 应用 using HCL books. That should be sufficient in terms of vocab right? I got him the one with the dinosaur on the cover. He likes to do that book, cos all MCQ. haha!
But for HCL compre, he only relies on what he does in school. Oh dear...lol 😓
You mentioned even for past year sch papers, the answer sheet may not be complete answer? Then how to find 理解问答 with accurate answers? Tuition centers like Wang almost all are teachers from China. Does it mean they also do not know the PSLE style and answering structure? Im thinking they would know how to use the marking rubric?

There should be an editing component too (1 passage, 5 questions)? Yes, this will be ideal for preparing for the 1st 2 sections of the HCL Paper 2.

But for HCL compre, he only relies on what he does in school. Oh dear...lol 😓
Depending on how much practices have been allocated, you might want to get him to try out some past year papers to work on.

Most of the answers are provided by the printing company that sells the sch exam papers. Here's an example I shared in another thread previously: https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=81235&p=1910796&hilit=answer+sheet#p1910796 For the higher order thinking questions, it's advisable to seek opinion of sch teacher or tutor.

Tuition centers like Wang almost all are teachers from China. Does it mean they also do not know the PSLE style and answering structure? Im thinking they would know how to use the marking rubric?
Tuition centers have curriculum planning team (with ex, experienced teachers on board) so it's a different situation vs. some authors who only publish assessment books. For example, you will notice most assessment book answer sheets do not break down the mark allocations unlike the ones some school teachers will provide when going though corrections with students.

So far, I think only P6B 画龙点睛 - 语文应用 is already available at Popular. The last that I checked, SAP 词语手册 will only be available in Jul.

what i dont understand is, how come so late now in July then come & release 6B book.
Why didn't Popular or the publisher release 6B much earlier in January, giving students ample time to practise ?

The 6B textbook was only released in Jun so assessment books will only be published 1-2 months later. It was the same for last year 5B.

                  Dear Parents,

Prelims oral exams are approaching in a week’s time. Any good resources for practising English oral (Stimulus based conversation)?

😓 You are not the first person whom I heard that this Hua Long book is tough. My friends told me the languages use in this new syllabus of Hua Long is way too China Chinese, difficult to understand. Even adults also find it tough, let alone the kids.
