Hi, being a Kiasu mom, i will like to check
1) I will like to register my kid for my alumni under phase 2A(2)
2) I am GRC so able to register for 2 sch within 1km of my house. Unfortunately, both schools are super popular and may even need to ballot in PHase 2B.
3) How to withdraw my alumni school and register in another school if I want to? Prior years, I can just go down to the school to within, but this year all is done online.
Anybody also facing this? Any advice?
But how will u decide whether to withdraw or not? Phase 2B got “live” updates meh?

no more last minute withdrawal allowed on the last day of Phase (2B or 2C or 2C Supp), around 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm (closing time),
because
how to withdraw at 3.30 pm and then rush down quickly by 4.30 pm in time, right ?
Also note that, some primary school's P1 rehistration admin \"weird\", in that if u ask them for distance breakdown eg. how many SC or PR, within 1 km or less than 2 km or exceed 2 km, they won't disclose any info
Or
last minute u call them, the phone line always in engaged tone, cannot get through
yeah, this year cannot be so garang
everything online and phones might be clogged up
not to say no real time updates too

Hi, I live <1km and only eligible for 2C.
Should I wait after day 1 registration and see if it is over apply? So I can opt for 2nd choice -
What school? We can predict for you whether oversubscribed or not.

St hilda's, less than 200m 😥
Horse year lot of kids... his K2 got 50 students, not counting other centres. -

Confirmed, guaranteed, chopped that applicants will exceed number of places available every year. Ballot for SC < 1km for Phase 2C. -

Your strategy will depend on what alternative school(s) you have in 2C.
And your risk appetite for the balloting odds. Eg. Have you decided if 1 in 2 odds, you won’t apply? If 1 in 5 will you apply? Any chance is still a chance worth taking if your 2CS backup is acceptable to you. -

Phase 2A1 (and 2A2, if u didn’t manage to join alumni) for RMPS is absolutely safe, all distances.Hi all! Would like to seek some advice if possible.
I am currently intending to go for phase 2A1 for RMPS . Based on past history, it seems like aside from 1 year (2014), most years phase 2A1 shd be relatively safe?
But, being kiasu me, I was wondering if I shd have an added security of using grandparent's address (within 2km) as I am currently out of 2km.
On the flip side, if the situation for some reason turns against me and I do not manage to enter via phase 2A1, I am worried that then I will not even be able to ballot for 2C within my home zone as I will have to use my parents address.
Anyone can shed some advice, pls? Or perhaps I am thinking too much... >.<
Thank you so very much, gurus!
Anyway, using grandparent’s address won’t help u in phase 2C as balloting occurs for <1km.
Woah, just checked the MOE site and realised ACSJ had 93 applicants for phase 1! highest on record!
If it carries on like this, seems like will only have the mandatory 20/20 in 2B and 2C

20 2B and 20 2C is not unheard of for a few schools I know..

Yup but it will be a first for ACSJ (if it really happens). Hopefully not, for those who are praying.
