Yup. Definitely history repeats itself.

Your strategy will depend on what alternative school(s) you have in 2C.

And your risk appetite for the balloting odds. Eg. Have you decided if 1 in 2 odds, you won’t apply? If 1 in 5 will you apply? Any chance is still a chance worth taking if your 2CS backup is acceptable to you.

I am currently intending to go for phase 2A1 for RMPS . Based on past history, it seems like aside from 1 year (2014), most years phase 2A1 shd be relatively safe?

But, being kiasu me, I was wondering if I shd have an added security of using grandparent's address (within 2km) as I am currently out of 2km.

On the flip side, if the situation for some reason turns against me and I do not manage to enter via phase 2A1, I am worried that then I will not even be able to ballot for 2C within my home zone as I will have to use my parents address.

Anyone can shed some advice, pls? Or perhaps I am thinking too much... >.<

Phase 2A1 (and 2A2, if u didn’t manage to join alumni) for RMPS is absolutely safe, all distances.

Anyway, using grandparent’s address won’t help u in phase 2C as balloting occurs for <1km.[/quote]

If it carries on like this, seems like will only have the mandatory 20/20 in 2B and 2C

Phase 2A1 is safe for all schools except SNGS.

@ floppy - add Nanhua to the list this year.
@Estraqed - you should have a buffer of around 15, dont think you should switch address to keep your 2C backup.

Better not get tricked by day 1’s low applications and jump into that school on day 2. That school will have a huge jump In numbers and result in tough ballot competition. Since no live update of data until end of each day.

Yeah so the sensible thing for everyone to do is to properly apply early(on day 1 itself) so everyone has a realistic picture

Oh well let's see if people do act in this manner
