Hi Davis, thanks for the info, but the data is until 2017. I think should have the data up till 2019 already right? There is no update

If your concern is MK / Phase 2A2, you should rest easy. The data won’t help you much. The MK effect is not felt in the last few years because most MK are only set up ~3 years ago. The older MK (-5 years ago) didn’t have the Phase 2A2 priority. Therefore, by the time a lot of the students had to enroll in primary school, their parents would already have made plans. The Phase 2A2 effect, if any, will probably come only this or next year (cod parents will know whether they want to use it when they enrolled).
πŸ˜„ thanks floopy πŸ™πŸ»

Exact number is 28 for 2019, before 2019 is zero

Btw, stay cool and wait out for the official for 2A2 since you enrolling in 2C. Dont sweat on stuff we cannot control.
πŸ˜„ Thanks Lexy, today is the registration for Phase 2A2, i just wait till end of today to see how many applicants for today

I know maybe all parents here bored with this kind of questions. But i really feels like its no hope for me to choose primary schools for my boy
Want to try for HIPS under phase 2B
(By church) but im live within 1-2km, sure ballot. And maris stella also no hope i think. So my choice is only Xing hua? Any better plan please? Thank you so much all parents

i think you may have mistaken the \"no hope\" chance. At the moment, HIP vacancies sit in between 2018 and 2019 (not as bad as 2018 but lesser than 2019) 2018 need balloting for 1-2km whilst 2019 is balloting for >2km, so this year roughly in between, meaning balloting for 1-2km but with better odds for 1-2km folks.

for MSHS, right at the moment, i think you stand a good chance of getting in without ballot as you are within 2km of the school. Applicant number so far also sit between 2018 and 2019 but the 2018 only need balloting for >2km folks.

I am not sure your risk profile, so you have to ask yourself.

As for your back up plan. i think Monfort should be a natural backup in 2C for you.

Its still better to wait for 2A2 to confirm the numbers before more clarity. if you dont mind reminding me (just in case i forget), i can relook at the numbers after 2A2 is done.

traditionally if the TUR till 2A2 is below 60%, then no balloting needed
if TUR is in the low 60s percentage, its a balloting >2km
if the TUR is high 60s to 70s percentage, balloting needed for 1-2km
if the TUR is in the 80s, balloting is needed for within 1km.

this year the TUR till 2A2 is most likely 85%.

Look for alternative.

I believe I saw your post in another FB group... I won't say it's \"no hope\" cos HIPS may or may not ballot for 1-2km in 2B, and MSSP oftentimes no balloting for 1-2km. Agree with Prof Lexy above to decide after 2A2 number. Understand you have another girl to consider, is easier if both go to HIPS, but you still have PLMGS within 1km.

Nope, thats why i think parents in 2B and 2C will just be flying blind as no end of day updates at all.
Also not to forget that the online form deadline is one day after the online system, so those results will not be apparent to those using the system

to summarize: you will not know how many people are applying for your school. So better to play it safe (specially for those school which have only like 2x vacancies in 2B/2C)
