Perhaps a more natural alternative is Toa Payoh? in MSHS. There are some form of balloting needed for both schools just that year to year the balloting odds may differ. Recent 2 years, CHS has a very high risk threshold, 1.8X in 2b and 2+ times in 2C. Traditionally, it range in 1.3X. Keep observing this year and next, it will help you. The logic is to come out with a plan that suit your risk profile.

Omg Toa Payoh! Isn't it further πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Okie thank you so much. I go check the schools πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

I think it’s worth to try 2 times ballot at 2B and 2C for the distance, affiliation and next generation. If really so suay, 2CS you have Guangyang and Townsville which are sure in.[/quote]

Double attempts makes sense unless you can’t live with the 2CS Options

        I have checked Maris Stella!
Quite far!!! More than 2km away.. it is actually more like potong pasir/braddell area already.

I havent seen Townsville in person. Saw Guangyang school.. quite a walking distance too from the mrt. Lol. For a car-less family..I just wish to have everything to be walking distance 🀭🀭🀭
GYPS can’t be that bad. 410G or 410W should get you there. Alternatively, you can have to take a bus to the interchange and walk from there.

Yes correct! From the interchange..still need to walk about 6mins... So for the papa who will have to bring him to school..it will be like from home to bus stop. Wait for bus. Then stop at interchange. Walk to sch.lol. then....... Walk back to interchange to take his mrt to work. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Lucky papa is a hardworking man. 🀭🀭🀭

I am also trying to find a 2CS option that is more convenient for us. 🀣.. how to say? Like we can drop him to sch and back to mrt asap. Rushing for work also πŸ˜†πŸ˜†. CHS is really walking distance and after that we can walk to bishan mrt. All in a straight route πŸ˜†

I guess this exposes the fact that I am having v low risk appetite 🀣. Or likes to give up easily 😣😣

Recently there are more and more MRT stations next to schools. Maybe u can check some apps for schools near MRT? Yours is North-South line only? Bishan also got Circle line right?

Example: St Gabriel’s Primary at Lorong Chuan MRT?

Kuo Chuan P is also quite popular in Bishan and they accept PVs too, not sure if you want to consider that as well?
