Thanks Lexy! Thanks for your advice .

I am worry cos unable to predict as numbers update all only at the end of registration phase . I won’t know how many people are applying and at which distance under balloting .

If I’m not wrong, phase 2B is not using the P1-IS system (the latter auto-fills based on your SingPass data).

2B is using a simple online form, which relies on user-inputted data. So technically the user can key in any random address. And no docs can be attached. So user can key in they are any church/clan member/GRL and the form will still be submitted.

I think there are school staff who are tasked to check the online applications that come in via this online form. Eg call the applicants to verify supporting docs like baptism certificates, etc etc.

So it is quite strange that the school staff cannot see or verify the distance.[/quote]
The form pre-fill your address from myinfo, but allows you to change it, no docs to be attached.

The most important thing is which school you can realistically get in. No point discussing the merits of each school but can’t get in.

Mee Toh will ballot for SC < 1km, with odds close to or exceed 3 to 1. For Waterway, you should get in without needing to ballot < 1km. Horizon is a little unknown this year, probably safe for SC < 1km. Therefore, the real question the kind of stress level you can endure during balloting, and do you realistically have a backup for Phase 2Cs.

at the moment all 3 schools looks gg to balloting for <1km SC.

Horizon has dropped 40 intake places from 2019 and 80 places from 2018.
Waterway dropped vacancies in 2C from 246 to 164 to this year maybe around 92.
Mee toh places available palces is around the same as 2018 and roughly look like a 2X balloting odds. (caution, day 2 of 2B unknown at the moment)

The total applicants at punggol area till 2B is roughly 300 more than 2018 and 2019. another 1300 to 1400 ppl will apply in 2C. (higher than 2019 but lower than 2018)

On school choices - if you already have reservation on Mee Toh and its the most competitive to get in amongst the 3, is it something you want to go for?

Together with the 3 above, Punggol cove, Punggol Green (most competitive overall) and Punggol View and Oasis all will be gg for some form of balloting. These 7 schools has about 500+ left for 2C this year and 2019 has close to 1000 applicants, you can see how fierce the competition is and It will need some applicants to go for northshore (new this year) and also valour (new last year) to take some numbers off the heat.

Something you may want to consider.

A lot of would-be phase 2C applicants have move forward their applications to Phase 2A2. Thus, Phase 2C may see less shocking number of applicants.

Taking account of your views, it could be around 1200, that would be slightly lower than 2019 applicants, just that the vacancies for the 7 schools shrunk alot more (860+- last year vs 545+- now)

                        total intake in 2018 is 2880, 2019 is 2680, 2020 is 2930.

My feel of the overall figure is more ppl made the move by 2B but looks like the around the same number are gg in for 2C.
