If 2a1 full, there wont be 2a2.
2A1 eligible people will be eligible again in 2A2. I am not sure how effective on reducing vacancies in 2A1.darkicicle\" post_id=\"1988318\" time=\"1596000529\" user_id=\"139113:
With phase 2A1 oversubscribed over the recent years, I heard that many teachers are complaining to MOE about the vacancies available in phase 2A2. Fyi, staff of school may register under phase 2A2. I am pretty worried that MOE may review the registration process and reduce the vacancies available in 2A1 as I am intending to register my child under phases 2A1 and we are beyond 2km.
And there are some who are only eligible for 2a2 and not 2a1, eg children of sch staff, and siblings 7 years or more apart. -

I think darkicicle is trying to say is lesser goes to 2A1, so maybe those who have higher applicants will be resort to balloting and thereby result in those who stay near will go in and those cannot go in, will apply again and goes to the next pot with the 2A2 and again, distance will prevail.

Perhaps those who were requesting the limit in 2A1 are actually the ones who stay near, as alot 2A1 and 2A2 are actually staying beyond 2km. -

If anything, seats are more likely to go to 2B and 2C.

Besides, teachers are usually the first in line for any appeal. -

With 76 vacancies for RGPS 2C, what is the chance of balloting and in what distance category? Does anyone have the past year information of breakdown based on distance in 2C?

So if MOE were to split some places to 2A2, I may end up not having even a chance to ballot in both 2A1 and 2A2. So much so for being an alumni... -
Alumni should move nearer to support your old school lah. Your kids travel so far also very shiong for them.

If vacancies are filled at 2a1, 2a2 wont happen at all. The next phase will be 2b, there will be no 2a2.
