Raffles Girls’ Primary School
Available vacancies in Phase 2C
77
Number of applicants
176
Balloting: Yes
Balloting will be conducted for Singapore Citizen children residing within 1km of the school. If your application is unsuccessful, you can register for a school with available vacancies in Phase 2C Supplementary.
Will we know the breakdown of the applicants?

Actually will that make a difference? The last thing you want to do is create disharmony before your girls start school. -

That maybe there are 78 applicants that stay within 1km and SC and in the end you are the one and only. -

In or Out, everyone has the same chance (for within 1km). Its the same for 101% or 595%. The only one you are referring to is also the same as the 3900++ others who will fail in 2C. -

Just wondering, which are the “full schools” in Singapore? Is there only one all-boys?
- St Nicks

Total, only 5 Full schools in Singapore

2 boys school
Catholic High
Maris Stella
3 girls school
MGS
SCGS
St Nick
All are highly sought after.
Once enter, can study for the next 10 years, from P1 to Sec 4 (O-level), assuming students can meet the PSLE affliation entry score.
Under Phase 2C, SC less than 1 km need to ballot
Out of these 5 Full schools,
4 are mission schools, hence no Parent volunteer (Phase 2B) needed.
Only SCGS isn't a mission school.
SCGS primary, however, is very highly selective, over choosing Parent Volunteer (PV) applicants, under Phase 2B. Every year, many applicants applied to be PV in SCGS, but very, very, very few got selected in the end.
For the Secondary side, for the 4 Secondary mission schools -
O-level students from (Catholic High, Maris Stella, St Nick) are affliated to Catholic Junior College.
MGS (O-level) Secondary school students are affliated to Anglo-Chinese Junior College.
Only SCGS (O-level) students, are not affliated to any Junior College.
SCGS (O-level) students, hence need to use their L1R5 score, to enter Junior College admission .
For IB,
MGS Secondary school students are affliated to ACSI, in Year (5 and 6)
For IP-A-level,
the IP students from (Catholic High, SCGS, St Nick) combined, are affliated to Eunoia Junior College, in Year (5 and 6), the 3-in-1 JC. -
Thanks.
Technically, if older sibling has graduated from the primary section last year, he/she can join alumni association so that younger sibling can register under Phase 2A1 instead of 2A2 right?
For full schools. -

Nope.

Parent - child, Phase 2A1 (if parent joins the alumni association)
Sibling - sibling, Phase 2A2 (regardless the sibling joins the association) -

Shouldn’t the sibling of a Full School be eligible (gender permitting) for Phase 1 instead?
Thanks.

1) St Nicks has parent volunteers.
2) If older sibling graduated from the primary section, he MOST LIKELY cannot join the alumni yet because there is a min entry age to join the alumni.
3) If the older sibling has not yet graduated from primary section or the secondary section, the younger sibling can join under Phase 1. This point on “the older sibling being in the secondary section plus younger sibling joining at Phase 1”, has been asked over and over in ksp, and every time I say can, but every time there will be people who will say cannot. So up to you to believe.
