5 months + left to PSLE. The PSLE is the \"new O levels\", the expressway path to University by the IP route for the top 5% of the cohort. πŸ˜„ Be your best this PSLE! πŸ˜„

It should be quite true that in order to get full marks, everyone must have lower marks than you, just like that top scorer in… 2008? The exam was really hard, everyone flunked except her so the top scorer got 294…

Has ur child got the sch calendar for the next semester yet ? For my DS sch, prelim oral and listening will finish by end of july. Written papers are during the week before national day.

I recently realize that in PSLE, paper 1 & 2 for languages are held on the same day. So far, for all the sch exams students take paper 1 and 2 on different days. Only come prelim then follow PSLE style. I wonder why the sch dun follow PSLE style right from the start.

My DS prelim for oral will be in the last week of July, with LC on 31/7 (Saturday). Main papers scheduled to be on the 2nd week of August, before PSLE Oral.

                      ksi:
Based on nature theory, both you and your sister already have 50% of the genes, if not 100%. So don't feel sad, the rest is to bring out your potential. Yes the COP of RGS seems tough but now you can see how the T-score helps to put the numbers only slightly slanted in 2007 for the difficult papers set so it does not skew the number too much until it is unpredictable if a T-score can qualify into a certain school.

Also, I agree with with Lizawa said about clearing round 1 GEP, in fact it is top 6% if you really want to drill down the numbers. I believe if you minus away the boys in the top 6% and those who likes SAP schools, your sis still has a good chance to go to RGS.

I know during your Mum's era, everything is like a blackbox, so do you think now we have more information, is it better? Other than making us worry more.......
How on Earth did you find out about this? I believed all my life I was only in the top 10%. I hope you are right! πŸ™

Pandan Cake can try the DSA route.

She may want to consider NUS or join you in Duman High (Top 5, in fact top 4 for last 2 years).

                        Wish her good luck.
