Hi, does anyone have an idea on the number of shortlisted applicants for SOTA visual arts this year? I'm referring to shortlisted applicants to the Talent Academy.

I'm sure it's more than 50 applicants who cleared the first round.. since the intake for visual arts should be about 70 students. I read somewhere that its more than 200 shortlisted for the TA.. but that's like 4 years ago..

My daughter auditioned for SOTA music. We have gone through all the interviews. However the 4th requirement which is the survey we have tonsubmit, I missed the cut off date by 1 day. Will SOTA penalise our application?

She also got a CO from NJC. But she is leaning towards SOTA .
Since we stay in Sengkang, NJC is very far off for us. So it's going to be SOTA

Dear SOTA parents,


Need some advice on SOTA’s culture. I understand that SOTA prides itself with grooming students to think independently and pursue their passions. And being Art students, I think they will learn to be more confident in making their points even if its unconventional. All these are good qualities and I seriously think that Singaporeans need to have more of these qualities in the workplace.

However, can someone give me the other side of the coin? It’s not all a bed of roses and I want to be prepared, as a parent as I interact and guide with my child, and for my child as a student in future, of what to expect, in terms of culture, social behaviour etc, the non-acad part.

Appreciate in advance to any candid and honest feedback. If you wish, pls pm me. DC has gotten CO from SOTA dance, and we hope to make an informed decision.
