Anyone failed phase 2b ballot for clan members? if we put waitlist for the school will they give priority to clan phase 2b parents? i was just looking at some of the past year statistics and realised that sometimes the number of vacancies taken is lesser than the available vacancies but the number that applied actually exceeded the available vacancies. Any idea why so?

Eg.
Available : 40
Applies: 50
Taken: 39

How could there be 39 taken when the available is 40 and those who applied exceeded 40.

Yes, me. Failed in phase 2B, no choice but to try 2C after. This year seems to be the most competitive in a decade (for the school we tried for).

Its so depressing to put in so much effort to be in an earlier phase but yet lost to luck. Is there any site which shows the past year records of balloting required based on distance ?
All sorts of planning need to match with your risk profile. Using the clan method, will move you up to 2B, but try not to calculate to the very edge. If you are to move up to join a balloting, you need to know your backup plan in 2C. All planning should also include assessment from 2A onwards, gather all the school options then decide the plan to move.

I would like to seek advice on the procedure of getting the letter for P1 registration from Pastor (BRMC). My child is due for P1 registration in 2023.

1) does both parents need to be members of the church and also baptised?
2) does the child need to be member of the church and also baptised?
3) besides being church member, are there any duties or position that we need to do/hold to be eligible to obtain the letter?
4) how long does one need to be church member to be eligible to obtain the letter?

Thanks for your advice.

The best person to ask would be the pastor of that church.

hi all parents, im new to KP and just registered myself here. Can I check, if I want to register my twins under Phase 2B for Holy Innocents Primary School in 2023, under Parent is a Catholic and within 1km (Riverfront Residences - new condo currently under construction), does both parents have to be Catholics and produce baptism cert? or the criteria is either one of the parents is a Catholic (with baptism cert) will do. myself is a catholic, my hubby is not. my twins were born in 2017.

Also does HIPS (holy innocents primary) need my baptism cert to be endorsed or affiliated by its own church? not sure which church is affiliated with HIPS. im currently attending RCIA with St Joseph Church at Victoria St.
