For the PSLE Math question about the heart and star tape, I only put one answer, 90. However, I believe the answer is 89 and 90. For people who put the same answer as me, let us hope that we will still be given the mark. :rahrah: ( btw, there’s a small mistake in my working, it’s 135 stars, not 45, sorry :oops:

90 is the worked out answer, while 89 is the “think out of the box” answer. Not many kids have the capacity to think out of the box under exam conditions. Kudos to kiddos who managed to get 89 as well !


Though not difficult, there are still steps required to see the pattern, make sense of it to work out the 90 answer. Well done also to kids who got that far.

This is a positive thinking & well said !. You’ve done your best, that’s what matters most. My gal also put 1 answer only - 90 . Let’s hope 1 mark will be awarded:) All the best in the remaining papers.

Since this is a 2 mark question inside Paper 1,

- those who put \"90\" one answer will get 1 mark,

- while those who give \"89 and 90\" two answers, will get 2 marks.
