what is an ideal low risk entry point to buy$A dollars using $Sing dollars?


i wish to buy lumpsum $20K australia dollars several times over a few months to prepare for childs australian education
is it better to open $A time deposit with the bank,even though the commision spread would be obviously great,
or just buy from money changer to save on the spread?
If it is better to get bank account ,which bank is efficient for these fund transfers?

when it went 1.9 i was over the moon.. changed some.. now bang my head on wall..
