Your post was not even believable in the first place. You forgot which year your kid was born in? Primary 5 post in current Primary 4 thread?

I think the confusion over the years can be understandable. What is so interesting is the super-all-roundedness of the tutor - EL, CL, maths, science, geography and history, is there anything the tutor can’t do?

            NO.

You should double up and increase to double and triple sessions if possible. Since the tutor is so impressive (super all-rounder as well), and you have let the cat out of the bag, need to chope her and stop everyone from engaging her. Rest and play can come, probably at 18yo (or probably 62 when they retire).

P/S: congrats on your impressive first post.
Boy! Do I miss some of you guys! :imanangel:

I am wondering if I should let my children have a break form tuition this holiday for a week.

Don’t get me wrong, their tutor, Teacher Joie (Contact number 9071 3209) is unlike others whom I had engaged.

She had asked me to give my child a break since it is the holidays and I am wondering if I should. They had been having their holidays during their circuit breaker and not much revision had been done.
She even stayed longer after lessons to ensure that our children completed a certain task. Feedbacks were given after lessons too.

              NO.

I think it is less obvious if you use 2 ids, like one asking for tutor recommendation, and then another one giving a recommendation, It would be better to space them out, maybe a week or two apart if you can wait, unless the business situation is so dire that you need to take a risk. But of course, do remember to double check the id before posting, as it is proven that some do get confused at some point when logging in and out too much.

Anyone give any advice about Higher Chinese and whether they should take it if offered? If only advantage is for SAP schools entry, then is there any point in encouraging the child to accept the recommendation from school unless child super loves it? It means extra classes ie time and effort

There is some recent commentary from the bottom of page 23 onwards.

                  https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=6468&start=220

Personally, if the student was offered (i.e. not struggling in CL) I don't see much downside (can always drop in P6) and you have option value (SAP entry, may make taking HCL in Secondary school easier, etc). But others don't see much upside and think there is a lot of downside (time and effort).

I could go either way on the intermediate term pros/cons. Since PSLE is the next milestone for the student the biggest factor is probably whether he/she has a weak subject among Math/Science/English that needs to be improved within the next two years.

                        No. It’s a little complicated. It can be AL4, 5, 6 or maybe even 7 and 8.
