the COP on the result slip is before the bonus points for Higher Chinese right ?
I think you meant T-Score, not cutoff point (COP)?

Hi parents, I got 265(+2 HCL) for PSLE, and now I'm not very sure which school to go to. I'm living in Sengkang and what I'm thinking is either Dunman, Hwa Chong, Raffles or Catholic High. Anyone has any suggestions for me? It would be helpful, thanks!
Practically, considering the commuting, i suggest you consider RI or Catholic High. The other two schools are further and unless you really love the school's name/culture/CCA/program/facilities, then just go for the nearer schools.
Going to RI, be prepared to compete with the best and challenge yourself. If you think you prefer a less competitive environment, go for Catholic High which is also a great school.

Hi, question regarding choice. Score 260+2. RI first choice and HCI second choice.
If we put RI first and cannot get in, then when being considered for HCI - our score of 262 will be considered first compared to someone who got lower eg 261 but put HCI as first choice . Is this correct?
            :congrats:

            Choice order does not matter.

In case he cannot make it to RI (last 5 years COP range 257 to 261), he has a very good chance to enter HCI (last 5 years COP range 257 to 260).

My advice is to involve your son in making the decision.

            All the best! :rahrah:

Your score of 265(+2 HCL), whether inclusive of +2 HCL or excluding +2 HCL, will be high enough for entering any of the top schools. Considering your address, DHS is a very good school, but a bit far. RI or HCI will be a good choice, CHS is also a very good school. There are lots of discussions on choosing RI or HCI. I suggest you go to visit the schools some more times and feel yourself the school environment before making final decision.

Most important thing is that you feel happy in the school. Good luck.

                  From a year 2 parent...

There is no harm putting RGS as first choice if this is her dream school.

RGS (last 5 years COP range 259 to 261)
MGS IP (last 5 years COP range 257 to 261)
NJC (last 5 years COP range 254 to 258)
CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' IP (last 5 years COP range 255 to 258)
Singapore Chinese Girls' IP (last 5 years COP range 252 to 253)

                    All the best! :rahrah:

with 257, she can try St Nicks (AMK), MGS (BT), SCGS (BT), NJC (BT) Maybe Dunman High too ?

If your girl has Higher Chinese pts, can use for St Nicks and Dunman High

can get in SCGS (IP) and O-level.
Is a matter of which track your daughter prefer, or feel more confident studying in.

Last year, both SCGS IP and O level, the same COP : 252
