      Hi, my son got 251.

HCL merit. He is from CHS. How much chance he has to get into CHS IP stream? If can't get into first choice, how about 2nd which is CHS express stream?
Since your son is from the affliated Catholic High primary school, just put

      1) CHS (IP), first choice

      2) CHS (O-level), second choice

When MOE computer database process, they will check. Based on your son's Birth cert, they detect that he is from Catholic High primary

      As you know,
      IP : No affliation

If your son with 251 (+2 for merit in HCL), Total equal to 253, happen to meet this year's batch Cut-off-point for IP track, then he will enter IP

      Otherwise,
he can still go back to O-level, because the O-level- Affliation is

      240

And your son's at 253, has far exceeded 240. Hence, definitely he can go back to O-level, under Affliation advantage.

And at end of Sec 2, if your son still interested in IP and if he do well in his Sec 2 exam, he can inform his VP that he is interested to switch over to IP, join EJC in Year 5.

Last year, CHS (IP) Cut off was 252,
      Including HCL bonus point

        Your son got 251 + 2 = 253?

Catholic High IP (last 5 years COP range 252 to 254) so there is a chance that he will qualify for CHS IP stream.

If not, he will go to his 2nd choice CHS O-Level Programme (his COP is much higher than 240 for affiliated students).

As long as you put CHS as first 2 choices (IP then O-Level), he will join CHS Secondary next year.

        :congrats: :rahrah:

DS score 244 HCL Merit. Any recommendation on school to apply? Stay at Katong area. I am interested in Victoria School (O level) but cut off is 248. Should I try? or it is wasting a choice? Pls advise.
Given your location, I would suggest Chung Cheng High (Main), Anglican High and Maris Stella High, all of which are SAP schools and your son's HCL bonus can be counted.

            Any advice for score 230?
Not here or there... can still try for schools with 240 as first and second choice? Or simply no chance?
If this year's PSLE results are about the same as for last year's, i think very unlikely can get into a 240-school with a 230-score.

Please consider Geylang Methodist if the school is not too far from your house. The teachers there are very kind and caring. Willing to go the extra mile to help students.

My son got 259(261 for HCL). Wonder if it stands a reasonable chance to get RI or Dunman?

Hi, I got 251. Is it safe to put my first two choices as Cedar IP (2019 cutoff- 253) and SCGS IP (2019 cutoff- 252)?

My DS got 247. Any recommendations? I am considering Bukit Panjang Primary vs SJI O-level.

SJI IP is 4-5 points away.
ACS(I) O level also 5 points away. Any suggestions?

How did the cohort perform compared to last year? Wonder if the cut off will be raised generally ?
