Why travel all way to acjc or njc.
      Not worth the precious time.
      you see their rank point
      Acjc rp is 79
      Njc rp is low 80++
What is \"worth the precious time\"? :scratchhead:

Do you all know what are the JC cut off points for JAE 2020?

So far confirmed from their websites:
        RI Science 4, Arts 5
        HCI Science 4, Arts 5
        EJC Science 7, Arts 8

Anyone combed other JC websites and saw the COP of them?

        Here’s a link I found online:
        https://www.salary.sg/2020/jc-cut-off-points-2020/

        Thanks for sharing.
Didn’t know EJC Science and Arts COP are now 7 and 8. Climb so fast! :imcool:

Just 2-3 years back , because the JC is new, I recall not many keen to join.

Guys, My friend’s son sat A level this year. He hoping to apply NUS medicine (He confident he can score all As). Before he go army we like him to do some volunteer works which may boost his medical application. Is there any opportunity to do volunteer work? Thanks

He can look at various charities he is interested in and just write in or call up.

If a friend’s child at O-level had sat for following subjects at O level and scored below 20 points so she can still go to a Junior College, can she still take H1 Maths or not allowed to in JC, because she only taken POA (Principles of Accounts) ?

                1) English

                2) Standard Chinese (bu-hua)

                3) Elementary Maths

                4) POA (Principles of Accounts)

At end of Sec 2 streaming entering Sec 3, her school don’t allow her to take Additional Maths, so she took POA.

                5) Pure Biology

                6) Combined Science (Physics & Chemistry)

                7) Social studies + Elective English Literature

can go JC as long as L1R5 is 20 and below, after that for choosing subjects different JCs may have slightly different pre-requisites, but looking at the subjects taken maybe easier to consider JC arts stream where can offer H2 Geog, H2 Econs, H2 Lit and H1 Math ?

Assuming he'll enlist in January or latest April, he only has about 1-3 months for volunteering.
He can try those willing hearts food prep/food delivery kind of volunteering where no training is required and they need people on a daily basis.
If he's looking to volunteer at homes / hospitals, this covid-19 pandemic has literally closed all such doors. Pre-covid days, such organizations look for at least 6 months - 1 year commitment because such volunteer work require some form of training. Cos you can't just throw any newbie to work with people who have some form of needs.
If he hasn't been volunteering all his school days, the med school also know he's just doing some form of work to boost his portfolio.

                      - HCI
                      - VJC
                      - NJC
                      - EJC
                      - TJC
                      - DHS
                      -ACSI
