The virus has an incubation period.
It could have spread more widely than what have been reported. -

He stays at Sentosa but choose to go Sengkang hospital! Why??
SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed a fourth case of Wuhan virus.
The patient is a 36-year-old man from Wuhan who arrived in Singapore with his family on Jan 22.
The case was confirmed at about 9.30pm on Saturday (Jan 25), said MOH.
He is currently warded in an isolation room at Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) and his condition is said to be stable.
Prior to hospital admission, the man was staying at Village Hotel Sentosa.
It was reported that he was asymptomatic during the flight to Singapore.
He subsequently developed a cough on Jan 23 and he went to SKH’s emergency department on Jan 24.
He was classified as a suspect case and immediately isolated, MOH said.

The problem is that they are disposable. Maybe need to teach people how to make washable masks. But I don’t know whether washable masks are effective or not.

If the mask is for protection against droplets (like for the current virus), then masks made of cotton can be washed. Washing in warm soapy water and letting them dry completely should be good enough. If it's masks with special filters (like the N95), I'm not sure whether or how they can be washed.

Stepping Up Precautionary Measures against the Wuhan Coronavirus Infection: Leave of Absence for Students and Staff Returning from Mainland China
1. To enhance protection of our school students against the Wuhan coronavirus infection, MOE will be implementing a Leave of Absence (LOA) for students and staff returning from Mainland China. This will apply to all MOE schools, which include MOE Kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, Special Education (SPED) schools, Junior Colleges and Millennia Institute, polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). The LOA will be valid for a period of 14 days, starting from the day after arrival in Singapore. The LOA applies to students and staff from polytechnics and ITE who return from Mainland China on 14 January 2020 or later, and students and staff from schools who return from Mainland China on 15 January 2020 or later.
2. MOE had earlier instituted a range of measures including issuance of advisories to remind students and staff to practise good personal hygiene habits and how to stay safe during this period, requiring them to declare their travel history, and advising those who travelled to China to take their temperature regularly for 14 days upon their return. The latest LOA measure allows MOE to better mitigate the potential risks posed by travel in our schools and institutions, while enabling them to continue with their usual learning and other activities. Students on LOA will be supported via a home-based learning plan, which will enable them to continue with their learning.
3. MOE strongly advises students and their families to monitor their health and adopt good personal hygiene habits. Parents should seek immediate medical attention for their children if unwell, and ensure that their children recover fully before they return to school for classes. Schools will also start daily temperature taking exercises from Wednesday, 29 January 2020 when they reopen, and will monitor students and staff for any signs of flu-like symptoms.
4. MOE will continue to work closely with schools and institutions to keep them updated on the latest medical advice and developments of this Wuhan coronavirus infection.

No
I fear for everyone.
This phenomenon shall pass.
This phenomenon will not pass,
1) as long as the vaccine for Wuhan virus , is not yet ready
2) Even after they are cured from virus, vacinne solution found, they will continue eating weird wild-like stuff, like
bat soup, cat meat, dog meat, rat meat and snake meat, that's Wuhan life.
If China people keep eating all kinds of exotic animals sold in filthy conditions in the markets, this kind of virus will only keep on repeating, in an end-less vicious cycle, no ending. And the virus is then \"exported\" to other Asian / Western countries round the world, infecting many innocent victim, via travellers
The same kind of fear, like in Ancient China some outbreak of \"pox\" last time, which u watched in Ancient Chinese drama. People were so afraid last time that they burnt the infected corpse immediately, to prevent the spread of \"pox\" back then. In those days, ancient China, no vacine, until someone concorted, developed the cure, the vaccine for it -

Nanyang Girls High and Hwa Chong Junior College
There are many IP Y1 to Y4 students and JC1 and JC2 students from China, studying in these 2 schools
After CNY over, after spring festival over,
these Teachers and students will fly back to Sg, from Wuhan, or from other parts of China. Singapore should quarantine these China Tr and students !
if there is any boarding school activity, Moe should also cancel all these boarding school activities. This is the WRONG time, to conduct any boarding school activities
Because
All u need is one student or Tr to start the virus chain of spread, and chaos arise.
Look at the way how Asian countries turned back Wuhan air flight coming into their country, prevent these Wuhan air flight from landing into their country airport -
Wuhan is locked down so I think there is no more direct flight from Wuhan to Singapore. However, if they left Wuhan before the lockdown and left from another city to Singapore then we won’t be able to find out.
