Hmm... I didn't ask PA this question as it didn't apply to my case. Perhaps you can call PA and ask them? Best to get it straight from the authority!

If it is indeed true that you don't have an NC and can start one by getting others to join you, then I think it's fantastic! Get some people together, appoint yoursef chairman (ha ha) and become an EM immediately! But I'm sure you will still have to show PA proof that you've done some work!

I did a little more research and found that the next Singapore General Elections must be called on or before February 2012. If previous elections are any indicator, boundaries will be redrawn some time before then.

I'm afraid not. In MOE's words:

\"Current serving executive committee members of the Residents’ Committee (RC), Neighbourhood Committee (NC), Citizen’s Consultative Committee (CCC), Community Club Management Committee (CCMC) and the Community Development Council (CDC) are eligible to register their children under Phase 2B.\"

There are many out there who volunteer their time in various organisations, churches etc. but these are the only ones that MOE recognises.

you need to submit the application via grassroot network, however the dateline for submission was June 11th.

once applied and approved by adviser, your SCM will forward you the letter.

Just wondering, if you have been a very active member of the YEC, didn't anyone from your CCMC or CCC ask you to join the CCMC or CCC? Are you close to them in the first place?

Just a reminder if those who like to get into Phase 2B for child born in 2005, you must join the RC (Grassroot Leader) by 30 June 2010. This is for those who had been unsuccessful in the PV applications of your school.

Just wondering, if you have been a very active member of the YEC, didn't anyone from your CCMC or CCC ask you to join the CCMC or CCC? Are you close to them in the first place?

This was in my mind too, if you are active GRL for 13 yrs, you should be asked to join CCMC or CCC by now or hold Office bearer appointment by now.
