All About A Levels

Speaking of which, I wonder if there is going to be a permanent downward shift in the number of SIngaporean students heading overseas annually to the US/UK/Aussie for university studies. And if so, would it mean that competition to get into local AUs will increase? I can imagine for those who can afford it, they won’t want to pay so much to get a ‘shortchanged’ overseas experience as there is the fear of Covid or Disease X popping up in the future necessitating online classes. And for those who are unable to make to local universities, they may think twice about going overseas but instead choose to pursue the various work study pathways / SkillsFuture pathways in Singapore.

I called up NUS school of medicine as he isn't convenient to do so.
Why not try applying for NUS medicine and NTU medicine with current poly diploma first? I don't know whether NTU needs BMAT for poly graduates or not.
Or, wait until he graduates then apply to Duke-NUS Medicine.
Or, apply to SMU-Duke-NUS Medicine pathway or SUTD-Duke-NUS Medicine special track or Yale-NUS-Duke-NUS Medicine pathway.
The lady advised me over the phone to ask son to try both Duke-NUS medicine as well as NUS Yong Loo Lin medicine as this course is very competitive.
For engineering undergrad, there is also an Engineering and Medicine track. if successful, he will get BEng from NUS followed by Doctor of Medicine degree at Duke-NUS medical school. -

being a very stressful year because the physical onsite JC lessons got disrupted due to \"Circuit Breaker\", end up went on-line became home based learning.
Can anyone recall
what topics were removed from being tested in A-level exam, to alleviate & lighten the burden of 2020 batch A-level students, in the following subjects (if any) ?
- H2 Maths
- H2 Chemistry
- H2 Physics
- H2 Bio ?
Thank you, for info. -

If you had to roughly estimate how much a JC student might spend in a year on books and notes - how much would you think is a reasonable estimate? About $150? Higher? Lower?
