thank you!
Can actually relate to socializing and play especially for boys. Boys will be boys. Running around, laughing madly are all so important especially for single child.
Play at school is more than recess! Play is an integral part of the school's curriculum and academic environment. It attends to the social and emotional development of children as well as their cognitive development. Ask any kids, they all look forward to recess!
When pandemic sets in, it throws in brain overload. Triggering sensory overload and that is when mental health kicks in. I really hope this pandemic is over so that the boys can run freely and interact across class cohort in school during recess.
this is the exact angle I am coming from
zac's mom said it best, boys learn best when a lot of play and physical activity is thrown in -
Yes, play time is important because that’s when students relax, un-wind themselves from various stress. Play is crucial, for a balanced life. All work & study, no play, makes Jack a dull boy.
Unfortunately, it is the covid pandemic situation that "lock" everybody in now, like "tied" up all of us, tied up our hands & feet, can’t do those things during good old days that we once upon time loved & missed so much. Sigh ! -
CCAs and enrichment in schools should be full swing for some schools now… like so busy now…I suggested to reduce but kid just dont care…they so enjoying it though could see the kid so tired.

Thank you, Esteema and ResilienceLC! Very helpful 🙂 will continue searching for units then.

@Lothlorienwalker, all the best. Just yesterday reported that MOE is reviewing P1 phase 2C vacancy. Naturally will affect the earlier phases.

To add, y’day’s MOE announcement point to flavouring distance incl Phase 2C with 20 places allocated for it. So, proximity encouraged for sake of children’s well-being I suppose.

Take about playtime during recess, my P5 boy just shared with me the school is rotating 2 classes per recess for playtime after their meals. No games like catching but they allowed some sports games like volley ball, provided they eat fast enough. My boy was grumbling not enough time to play at all. Well, I told him he should be thankful that at least the school allows some activities during recess.
Seems like this only applicable to upper pri. My lower pri boy said nothing for his class so far. -
