Errr... dunno what qualifies as light for the non-collapsible one.

I know Giordano ones are a staple. Or Hang Ten.

There's also $2 ones from Daiso that are light but not very big.

I'm looking for very light collapsible ones - any in the range of max $20? Usually japanese brands from Isetan or Taka right?
      Thanks.

I'm looking for those that are bigger than the Giordano or Hang Ten.

So you mean you want a golf umbrella? Then, golf shops? Otherwise, wait for some freebie. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Are you still looking for your big golf umbrella? I saw some being sold at Cash Converter Toa Payoh just now. $8 each, probably left over from some promotion. Yes, those big golf umbrellas. You may want to take a look.

Maybe you can check it out with some credit card roadshow where they do give golf umbrella for every application. Whether light a not really depends on your own judgement.

I'm very chossy over my umbrellas

Anyway, I found someone selling golf umbrellas over at HWZ. Photo looks good. But yet to contact him to view them.

I m also very particular about my umbrellas. My mom told me that we cannot own a used umbrella, because it belongs (covers?) to some elseโ€™s soul. For that reason I only borrow umbrellas but never keep a used umbrella.

You can google for customized umbrella. Comes with whatever you want, in terms of length, and width. Ages too! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Some years ago, Daiso had those same umbrellas but they were the automatic-open kind. Now have to open manually - which means needs 2 hands. *sigh*.

those were very good. just the right size to pass to our primary school boys if it was raining in the morning. And light. So that when they reached their classroom, it's light enough for them to close themselves too.

i lost mine and couldn't get replacement from Daiso or anywhere since. :x
